Only visiting for a meal with family. The area is nice, a small pub with cramped seating. But the food was brilliant.
Very rare a place that is staple for Thai food also cook pub classics very well. My Pad khee moa was very nice, my wife's lasagna looked brilliant. Both really large portions.

Its in desperate need of a refurb. Very nice staff, nice pint. However, the food is very average, and there is no air con. Nicer places nearby in Stokesley. Won't be back im afraid.

Had a fabulous week break. The village and area is stunning. The only negative is the size of the fridge/freezer it's way too small for a week and had to throw some of our food away.

Popped in for a drink after a walk, pub didn't seem that busy, staff were friendly but a little waitvto be served, seemed busy due to the takeaway.

Carlton is a wonderful little village, very pretty and at the foot of the moors. The Blackwell ox is a great pub and serves fantastic Thai food. The only snag is that it?s not much of a drinkers pub, tables are often only available if you?re dining with them.

First time visiting here and I will definitely be back!
The food was incredible, really tasty and huge portions. Between the 4 of us we had green curry, Pad Thai and chicken satay and we all really enjoyed it.
The staff were so lovely as well, really friendly and always smiling, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Can?t wait for my next visit!
