Stopped off for lunch on our way to the coast. Excellent food was well presented and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly.
The menu was extensive with a great mix of light and more fulsome items. Coffee was excellent too.

Not loads Gluten-free items marked on the menu, but very amenable to adapting menu items and explaining items that can not be adapted. A very reasonable price for two meals. The wine is also great!

Nice place in a nice location and good service. Only issue was the chicken in Diane sauce was the size of a sparrow. I?m a 6?2 man who needs a half decent portion??.

The reason I have only give a 3 star is because, the food was very nice but I felt sorry for the two! bar staff that tried their hardest to please frustrated customers that had to wait for service. I was with a party of 10 so the wait was substantial.

Food fresh and tasty. Lots of menu variety and they do cater to gluten free. Friendly staff, food arrived quickly.

Always go here to eat when visiting Stokesley but sadly not up to scratch this time. On arrival the member of staff walked away to chat. The smashed avocado was scooped straight out onto burnt sour dough, black in places, no smashing had taken place. As it wasn't me eating it, no complaint was made. Mine was cool but ok. A couple arrived with a child and the chef? bellowed happy birthday across the cafe and we're talking at high volume. Later she came out of the kitchen and picked up the child and wandered about. Hygiene was obviously not high in the agenda. It was my birthday too but not an enjoyable breakfast at all. Very disappointed .

Lively place. Slightly disappointed with choice of food. Have been previously and there was an exciting specials menu. Staff very busy, and hard to get attention.

We visited during Teesside Restuarant Week 3rd -8th March. We didn't book, but saw it was quite full which is always a good sign, just managed to get a seat. I've done many Restuarant Week meals in the North East and they can be a bit bland. But not here at Chapters Stokesley. Home made Pate, full of taste and well presented, the Pan Fried Hake on a bed of risotto and chorizo was really good and many a chef would be delighted with theses skills, the braised beef bourguignon on tagliatelle was superb. Friendly staff, good service, worth a visit! £20 for 2 courses this week only.
