Visited the Wheatsheaf Inn with other members of the YDC, so only bought dinks. However, it was a lovely sunny day and the local annual fayre was in full swing. Folk were eating the pub food on outside benches.

Been for Sunday lunch today the pool table had been pushed against the wall and our table had been allocated in its place we were sat below the pool table lights there was a gaming machine tucked in the corner whilst eating our lunch young lads were asking us to move so they could play gaming machine and were using foul language one of our guests had to ask them to stop as there were young children with our party. Dinner was ok Desserts were nice apart from the knickerbocker glory ( nothing like a knickerbocker glory) service was a joke so slow yet there was plenty of staff running around???? I was charged £190 when we questioned the bill after another long wait we found out the bill was £130 YES £50 cheaper than I was charged THINK ITS SAFE To Say We WONT BE RETURNING

Visited with family members who had come to see me in Middlesborough. Went for Sunday and food was excellent. We were all only able to manage main course and were all stuffed! Meats all well cooked,portions were great and all served with generous serve yourself local cooked vegetables and delicious proper gravy. Always busy so recommend booking in advance of visit. Wheatsheaf is situated in the lovely village of Hutton Rudby at the lower end of the lovely village green. It is approximately 30 drive time south of Middlesborough.

Luckily, I stumbled across this pub on the way to Whitby, and thank goodness I did as the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions and the staff were brilliant. I wish I lived nearer.

We had Sunday lunch today 1 chicken, 1 Lamb 1 beef. All 3 meals were absolutely delicious ? I had beef that melted in your mouth. Real! Gravy and yorkies too. The staff were very friendly and service great. Thank you. Will be back very soon.
