I highly recommend a visit the this absolute gem. Located in the charming village of Lothersdale in the rolling countryside of North Yorkshire, it stands out from the crowd. We checked in at the bar where we had reserved a table for two for Sunday lunch. We were met with a smile and taken to our table on the newly opened first floor bar and dining room. This looks and feels like every last penny has been spent to make this an absolutely stunning space and typifying that high end country pub vibe perfectly. The staff member who took our order was really friendly and professional and took a real interest in our meal choices congratulating me on my main of steak rigatoni! The food came and was wonderful. Spicy chorizo starters with my Wife having their Sunday beef roast to follow. I spotted a brilliant touch, a comfy doggy bed being placed by a chair of a neighbouring table in anticipation of the arrival of a family and their four legged friend. Clearly this establishment wholeheartedly welcomes our pets! With full bellys, our overall parting impression was that we had just visited a fantastic establishment with lovely people and amazing food. Whether it's a cosy meal for two or a family celebration, give the H&H a try, you certainly won't be disappointed!

Been here a few times now and the food is amazing! Amazing service too just above the rest of the? pub foods? the only thing I would say is I did mention it was our wedding anniversary and there wasn?t any recognition of this but top food top service !!

The lady who we spoke to and who served us (may have been the manager), wasn't very hospitable/friendly/attentive. Even when the order was wrong, we sorted it out between us, as she clearly didn't want to be bothered with it. Food was ok, but we won't be returning. We weren't the only table to be put off by the attitude and lack of service.

Stopped off on our way travelling north and were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing and the service was great too. We felt welcomed and had a wonderful meal. There was a themed specials menu, which happened to be rhubarb when we went.

A lunch with 14 family members was enjoyed by all. The new restaurant is completely accessible for wheelchair users and has a great atmosphere. The service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely be going again.

Can't praise it enough. We dined and drank with my sister and her partner on 7th August. I love-and will probably be reincarnated as a- fish so glad to tuck into whitebait as a starter and share a fish platter with my sister. The bar staff and our waitress very friendly, professional and helpful. The cleanliness was immaculate. It seemed busy, so glad it's thriving and hopefully revisiting soon!

The food was delicious, the service was very good but I have to mention Malcolm. We went as a party of seven and my 9 year old grandson developed a migraine which got worse to the point he felt really ill just as our main course was served. His mum said she needed to take him outside, Malcolm heard and took over he collected her and her meal and would not hear of her sitting out in the wind, he took her to a shelter with a heater, brought them water, then came back and got my grandsons meal boxed to take home as he might feel better later. When we were leaving he had even got a brownie boxed for his dessert. This was service above and beyond and his kindness was much appreciated . We will of course be returning for more delicious food.

Fantastic village pub with amazing food and great hospitality. Lovely friendly atmosphere with such hard working and friendly staff . We were there everyday this week for food a few times and always a pint or two

A lovely trip out to Lothersdale yesterday for Sunday lunch. There were 6 of us and everyone got something different. Each meal was well presented and absolutely delicious. All the staff were efficient and friendly. Will definitely return!
