steak was fatty and inedible. The replacement was a little better. I stipulated i had a butter allergy. incidentally I wasn't asked if I had any allergies and it definitely had butter in it. very dangerous wouldn't recommend or go again. You could kill people not good

3 years ago I recommended this local pub for great food , service and value .
What a difference now .
Winter menu still on in July !!! hot day just wanted a salad . Stilton pepper pot still a great favourite but main courses cooked without love I feel , chips were awful , nothing special about the lasagne but it was very hot .
Tables very sticky , place looks dingy now , full of dirty fake plants , dirty fish tanks inside , waitress got our drinks wrong , it?s a shame as it?s walking distance for us to enjoy a meal out but I feel it?s lost it?s good feel vibe and personality and I know the economy is on its knees but it?s expensive for 2 drinks , 1 starter and 2 main courses cooked without love . . Beautiful flowers outside but dosent reflect on the inside .

I ordered the herbed cod loin, it was dry and tasteless, the new potatoes were hard and the cauli broccoli cheese was so hard it was inedible. My uncle asked for a sauce but this wasn't delivered till he had eaten half his meal. Will not recommend or return . The atmosphere was cold and uninviting.

Food nice.
Landlady rude and abrupt.
We booked a table in advance, when we arrived she said I will try and fit you in somewhere, then sat 4 of us around the smallest table ever in an almost empty room.
Staff no customer focus.
Tried to give us the bill for another table.
Very poor overall.
Doubt we will return !!

Great place for a lovely meal, came here with my family get together. What can I say, food excellent, staff brilliant friendly and helpful, atmosphere lovely and relaxing lovely countryside feeling well worth a visit
