A nice little cafe in a in a pretty little village. The staff are lovely. And their sandwiches and cakes are really good value.
It's worth a visit if you are in the area. It's also pet friendly which is a bonus.

Never leave reviews but on holiday in a cottage in Askham bryan so called them first to make sure dog friendy in the cafe as we planned on going for lunch with our cockapoo..was told yes both inside and outside and close at 3pm today (as sunday) we got there approx 1.20pm ..tried to order a salad ..jacket potato and toasties to be told could only order a sandwich as getting ready to close .(never mentioned this when we called )..felt like we were causing an inconvenience tbf...very dissapointed

Went to Askham grange cafe today Sunday 13th April with my Daughter and Grandson, the food was lovely and the staff were too, they made us feel very welcome, even though we got there around 30 -40 mins before closing n I'm fussy n changed my mind x2 as to what cake I wanted, these ladies wernt phased at all. Very polite and friendly, would defo visit again!! The ladies are a credit to Askham grange cafe!!!

Me and two friends were traveling to The Lakes and stopped for coffee. We didn't want anything to eat but the staff were very friendly and obliging. We did see food brought out and it looked delicious.

Lots of things ... another place with gardening pots and stuff ..... in summer they have bedding plants great place to eat
