Just WOW! we spent the weekend in Boroughbridge and stayed at the Grantham Arms, we were there for my birthday weekend as there were a couple of walks in the area we wanted to do. However on the Saturday morning I was up early (04:15) and decided to take my 7 month old Bull Terrier for a walk around Boroughbridge, and discovered plenty, I mean it wasn't open but loved the name and could see it was also dog friendly.
So once the rest of the family was awake, we went for breakfast.....
It was SO good, everyone's breakfast delivered at the same time, and everything looked amazing on the plate. The staff were super attentive but not overbearing....the stars of the show (for me) were (as crazy as it sounds) the toast and the tea!
Don't get me wrong, it was all very nice indeed, but that toast had the best crunch and the absolute right thickness!
You will not be disappointed here.
The funny part was my family (wife, daughters x 2) are scared of wasps and when one came to see what we were having for breakfast I was able to catch it and kill it with the tea pots, tea cosy..... if it wasn't for that tea cosy who know the level of crazy our table would of gone.

Popped in to get 3 takeaway coffees after a walk, ended up waiting over 20 minutes for these to be ready, by which point the first coffee was only lukewarm. The two staff members behind the counter were friendly but seemed rather inexperienced and unaware of how long they were taking, perhaps they could do with some more training or additional staff to help? I feel bad leaving a negative review as I haven?t eaten in so can?t speak for the whole experience at Plenty, however 20+ minutes wait for 3 standard takeaway coffees when the cafe didn?t seem busy is just too long, especially with no acknowledgement or apology from staff.

Just got a take away panini from plenty, bacon, brie and onion chutney. Had to throw half of it away as was full of bacon fat, no actual bacon. Will not be returning, it was disgusting.

Lovely cafe, popular with cyclists.
Take away or dine in (with some seats outside). Food and drinks are great, but could do with a bit more organization at the counter. People ordering take aways and waiting for orders while I was trying to get staff attention that I wanted to pay my bill having dined in. There's not much room either so it all gets a bit tight for space, especially when you just want to look at the vast choice of amazing cakes?
