Just ordered fish and chips with gravy for collection from the shop. Absolutely fantastic fish supper with really friendly staff. Best fish and chips i?ve had locally for a long time. The new southern fried gravy is amazing- takes your fish and chips to the next level.

Went to Kings for my lunch as I work in acomb. Went to order the lunch time special. The gent serving the turned to another male and asked if I was able to have this or not. The gent sat down didn?t give eye contact once, he stated I wasn?t allowed a lunch time special as it?s eat in only. I am aware that when eating in they add a charge to your order.
Customer service is lacking and if there isn?t a table available how am I meant to sit in and eat it? It also isn?t a lunch time ?special? by the time you?ve added on your ?eat in? charge!!

I had a really disappointing experience here. The girl behind the till has very poor customer service ? she never smiles at you, no greeting, and a noticeably bad attitude that made me feel uncomfortable and anxious while ordering. She seemed confused and took long, and got my takeout order wrong twice even after repeating myself. I hope this can be taken as constructive feedback.

Fish is nice, small meals are a bargain but biggest let down are the chips. They have tasted dry and stale the last three times I have eaten from here, I won't be trying a fourth time. The mushy peas are tasteless also. Get the basics improved or lose customers, simple.

Excellent fish and chip meal eaten inside this small but welcoming shop. Freshly cooked, piping hot and great value for money. Friendly staff and comfy seats. Highly recommended.

Great friendly staff it was the food that was a disappointment chips were overcooked and ordered a large and that definitely wasnt a large portion of chips. Wont be going again.

Staff are incredible and friendly, as an autistic person I often find it hard to go to places alone and really struggle, but the workers were so friendly and co-operative that it near instantly made me relax!!
The food is wonderful too, and the workers do so much to ensure their chippy is accessible and welcoming to all.
10/10, 5 Stars, 100%!! Love this place

Guys & girls are the new menu that is coming, it's amazing me & my wife and our son have just been giving a sample it?s so tasty and on par 5 star in our defo worth a try we just tried the fish wrap & the pulled pork wrap very tasty thanks guys ???

Outstanding for a number of reasons, great management team. Super range of food including new menu. Fantastic quality, presentation and friendly service. Always willing to accommodate, management team very new, vast background and keen to develop the shop. Give them a go, pop to the cash machine. It's next door and Give a little top and not yellow snow.

This is a brilliant cafe and takeaway. The staff and such hard workers and really care, and it shows. The food is of a brilliant quality and excellent value, and the service is at the highest level. Good luck with the new burger menu. This place deserves every success.

The fish itself was nice but the batter wasn't crisp at all and tasted like from frozen. Chips were slightly rubbery and mushy peas pretty bland. For the price it was quite surprising.
