A nice place to hang out and eat some food and some peace and quiet. It does cost a pound extra if you want to sit in but it's worth it if it's cold and wet.The food is usually always hot and fresh, delicious and filling.

Battered sausage was the weirdest most u pleasant I've ever had, odd dusty texture a d rock hard batter, inedible. Never had a problem with something as simple as a battered sausage and no idea how they managed to make it so unpleasantSausage is cheap and nasty even by chip shop standards. Food arrived quickly and that was only good thingChips burnt.

Can't complain at all, good food, reasonable prices and polite staff. Although I took the food away on this occasion the general atmosphere is and always has been good here.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options here are actually quite good and there is quite a few of them.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp at the front of the shop with easy access.

Went for pie n chips today at the Fulford shop ,joke really they out my gravy Into a wooden box at which it started dripping out then told me I could not sit in ,class act really what a joke empty restaurant loads of space no from the obviously power mad man behind the counter eat you chips and pie outside while the gray drops through the boxOnly in York what sad behaviour

Irresponsible customers may dump and fly tip food in the adjacent bin outside but King Fish, chips and gravy, tasted very exqusité, there has also been less products from King Fish in the adjacent bin, however because of the taste, it has effected residents in the local areas nearby communual bins.Alot of takeaway boxes from this area are being flytipped, and being dumped. Takeaway boxes are externally sent to the residential estates near Holgate and around Acomb to get rid of waste in the immedient versinity of the area.These are not being recycled correctly when they are placed in black deposit bins, when clearly cardboard boxes, that should be put in recyclable cardboard box recycle bins should be placed in those bins rather than being irresonsibly put in the black depositry bins outside the immideiate area, making it harder for Refuse Collectors and Enviromental Warden's to recycle waste that is deemed recycleable.

Went in to order 2x cod & chips which was roughly £12.15 from the prices above the counter. I was asked if I was eating in, I said yes. I was then told it would cost £21 to "dine-in". No wonder it was empty! Err think not, we left!

Bought a large battered sausage & chips, sausage was hardly battered to say the least, chips were half cooked, waited 20 minutes & price was shocking for what we got! disgusting overall! Will boycott this lot! & will pass on this review to anybody & everybody!

My words when I entered were "Haddock and chips twice please, one with scraps" so how does that translate to "haddock and chips please, and a haddock on its own, and pour the measly portion of scraps into the box with chips to make the lonely piece of haddock feel even lonelier". When I rang to query it, I was told I was lying about what I'd ordered. Makes a change to the time we got black curried mushy peas I suppose and all this hassle for £20. Anyone recommend a good fish and chip shop?

Shambolic operation really. Orders accepted, 30 mins later cancelled, ring up and they ask you to submit another order while waiting 5 days for a refund for the first? Used to be good, but its gone very far downhill
