Called into the Wymondham Branch today for savings advice, waited to see a casher who couldn't or wouldn't help. I was advised to see the manager but due to it being lunch time 11,45am no one was available plus she was busy with another customer.
I was told I could not make an appointment to see her or anyone and advised to come back another time, any time but not now, hopefully someone may be available to see you then.... What a complete disappointment.
Banking with Nationwide with high street banks is great especially for the elderly but after this unplesent experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere...

The staff were brilliant when sorting out an issue that I had in getting a refund.

I went into Wymondham Nationwide to pay in a cheque from NatWest and get cash in precise denominations. Not only had I forgotten Nationwide pin number also the NatWest cheque. The staff were marvelous and so very kind. They guided me through the whole process and arranged for my pin number to be sent through the post. They have put a 91 year old person who was disorientated by the heat back on track.

On transitioning from a passbook account to an obligatory card account I was not happy at the level of personal questions that are now asked in front of a queue of people. This should be more confidential and not just as a special request. The depth of questioning is now a scammers charter to anyone listening in. The staff seem to have a need to just churn through what is undoubtedly a large number of account transitions that has been thrust upon them.

DIABOLICAL SERVICE FROM MANAGER WHO TURNED MY MUM AWAY FROM UPDATING PASSBOOKS AFTER COUNTER STAFF HAD ALREADY SPOKEN WITH MY MUM AND WERE HAPPY TO UPDATE HER PASSBOOK ONCE OTHER STAFF MEMBER HAD FINISHED WITH SAME SITUATION WITH THEIR CUSTOMER. IGNORANT AND RUDE MANAGER REPORTED TO HEAD OFFICE WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT LONG TERM LOYAL CUSTOMERS. MY MUM HAS TO GET AN INFREQUENT BUS TO TRAVEL TO WYMONDHAM AND HAD A WASTED RETURN JOURNEY DUE TO BAD DECISION BY BRANCH MANAGER WHO TOLD MY MUM TO COME BACK NEXT DAY AT 10AM AT A TIME IT WAS CONVENIENT FOR THEM. WHAT AN IGNORAMUS.

Staff were friendly and courteous. What we needed was done quickly and efficiently. And, as a bonus, we were able to purchase some great books from the charity donations' bookshelf!

Very rude staff. I visited to open an account for a special needs child. I had all of my ID and my child's. I completed the first part online but decided to call into the branch in person. On the internet it only mentioned ID documents. It didn't mention that the child needed to be with me. I've never heard someone say where is he in such a rude way. Hadn't even given any information about the account. This isn't the level of service I would expect from one of the only banks left in the town. I'm dealing with probate on my dad's estate at the moment and ALL of the banks have been better than this

Not the most friendly of branches but it's local and that would be helpful but now the opening hours, for a town the size of Wymondham are not good. The staff are probably in the safest of positions as they are behind a thick glass screen.

Rubbish opening hours. Closed entirely on Thursdays and weekends. Only found out upon arrival at 2pm Thursday. Machine outside accepts deposits but only 30 notes at a time so max £600. Had to stand there counting out notes while a queue forms and didn't even get half of my deposit done. Not being open in the middle of a weekday is a pretty fundamental failure.

Opening hours are hopeless, no good if your trying to run a business and want to get there before closing , Always helpful friendly staff though

Not a Nationwide customer but my late mother was, and after an absolutely awful few weeks trying to get someone at NW's central 'bereavement support' to just talk to me sympathetically and helpfully, like a fellow human being, after I had suffered a bereavement and a personal cancer diagnosis on the same day, went into the Wymondham branch to sort out a funeral bill. Was met by Kirsty, who by contrast could not have been more smiley, patient, sympathetic and helpful and sorted every detail out for me right there and then. Very grateful to her for the rapid, on-the-spot service and for the human warmth , both of which I have started to despair of ever encountering from NW's central service.

Middle aged woman in her late fifties that works here is very rude/arrogant. Won't be going back.

I appreciate that we have Covid restrictions but do you really feel the need to dramatically and rudely shout to me and my 11 year-old daughter who both have masks on. I have never been greeted into any premises by such a rude, arrogant and aggressive person. You really need a serious change of personal on the entrance.....a gorilla would have better manners!
