Food, service, location are excellent, however it should be up to the customer to decide whether to offer a tip not to have to check whether a service charge has been added. There is no mention of a service on the menue and it was not mentioned by the gentleman who served us. This was the only downside to our

Food a major major let down last time we went. We've been going for a few years now, although less frequently lately. Anyway, it has been going down hill for a while now - and our last visit will probably be our last. We ordered the sea food platter, £37. It came with, perhaps, 6 clams, 3 "shrimps" (the shelled variety you might get frozen in a supermarket), one oyster, one scallop, and a small piece of "fish". OMG! It was cooked, for sure - but in any recognisable style? Not really. And quality / freshness? Well, not great. Like I say the "shrimp" looked decidedly like an escapee from a frozen bag of 'em. Really, really disappointing - and really disappointing that they care so little these days about their food and perhaps more about their profit. Times are tough yes, but you don't get our of them serving this! Maybe it's working for them - who knows. it was busy in the pub area - less so in the dining room! It's definitely got a slightly different clientele and vibe now - more about people wanting some pub grub than the more ambitious food they used to do. We won't be going back - not because we dislike pub grub, but because you are charging inflated prices for almost laughably poor food.

Recently lunched at the White Horse and the whole visit was excellent.Service was just right, friendly but professional and the food was superb. We had the smoked salmon from the smokery in their car park, stone bass and finished with lemon tart; all were deliciousCan't wait to repeat our experience!

Mussels were great. Sirloin was poor. Service was slow and the wait staff seemed stressed albeit friendly. A steep price tag for an average experience.
