It's a Weatherspoons, not much to add food is edible, drinks are reasonable.

Coffee from the machine was not very hot. The chocolate powder had run out.We both had breakfast, and the eggs were overcooked.Very poor in comparison to The Queen of Iceni in Norwich.

We came to a pub to have a late lunch for a 10th Bday celebration. Our evening was spoiled by a manager Karen Davies who refused to serve us more drinks because of the kids enjoying themselves outside whilst being supervised by us. After having a meal and a couple of pints, we were planning to go home at around 6.30pm. However, whilst having a last drink we were told we are not welcome! She was very rude, arogant her manners were atrocious. This is not a child friendly place!I believe she could have handled the situation in a much better way, but her appalling customer service skills had led to a spoiled evening and decision not to ever come back to Globe again! There are so many bad comments about the management at this place. Maybe it is a time to do something about it!

Never visited a spoons hotel before and was pleasantly surprised. Right in the centre of the historic quarter, central for shopping, eating etc and lovely and quiet. Great room, very clean and well stocked.

My experience is based on visiting in the morning a few times a month between 7-9am when it's mostly fairly relaxed. I've done this for some time now but will likely find another venue due to its overall decline. The prices aren't value now and having to pay £2 to park nearby adds to the reasons that go against it.Decent service, toilets and location, that's where the positives end.The seats and much of the decor is now terribly dated (they weren't even new in the early 2000's when I used to go there drinking each weekend) and on my most recent visit I was actually injured by one resulting in me bleeding. The carpets are gross, the coffee machines are unreliable and often have queues even when it's not that busy, cynical having just the one pair in the middle to limit how many people drink through the unlimited refills deal. The large breakfasts used to be good, then they introduced the mega cheap bread that they serve mildly browned (not toasted, it's floppy dry cured bread more than it is toast), the eggs aren't very nice either, the mushroom serving a joke, as is the serving of beans now. Sausages and bacon very average, the hash browns taste of oil! With rivals nearby only charging an extra couple of pounds (free parking bridges that gap) for all you can eat using local butcher procured food, the only thing left for the Globe is it's grand location and views from the window seating. I'll support local rather than the Tory supporter who sacked his staff during lockdown.

We went for Breakfast only on a Sunday morning. Very busy, staff are friendly and efficient. Queues at tea and Coffee machines, down side. Customers moaning about other customers taking too long. Either more machines or do table service. Food nice, lots of choice, some meals could be a bit warmer but mine was ok. Venue is good. Would visit again.
