Just back from our second visit to Heacham Manor.Originally we had planned to stay in Kings Lynn but decided to stay at the manor and play a round of golf with some old friends. It would be hard to fault anything about our stay, the room was warm, well equipped, every member of staff was friendly and helpful, we had an enjoyable lunch in the pavilion bar and a good breakfast in the mulberry restaurant. The golf course was in a good playable condition considering the weather. We will be coming back for our future visits to Norfolk. The only thing I would like to raise is , it doesn't seem possible to use your blue light card when booking on line.

DO NOT BUY VOUCHERS FOR THIS HOTELLet me start by saying I cant actually comment on my stay at this hotel as its taken me 6 months to book our stay.We were bought vouchers to stay here for Christmas, which I first enquired about booking back in July, when I was told that July and August were fully booked and to call back at the end of August to see what was available.Upon calling back at the beginning of September I was informed that September and October were fully booked to customers redeeming vouchers and they didn't except vouchers for November of December because it was their busiest time of the year.I wasn't overly happy with being told that 6 months of the year was unbookable and made that point known, at which point the manager agreed we could redeem the vouchers in November after I went into Karen mode and pointed out the voucher terms and conditions only said no to bookings in Easter, Christmas and New Year.Things didn't really improve there though as the member of staff I dealt with seemed straight out the "Computer says no" sketch from Little Britain and proceeded to make it very difficult to find any weekends that matched our availability. "Because that's not how our system works" was a reply I got a lot when asking what availability they had.Now we actually have our stay booked I hope it improves when we get there and I can amend this to reference that.**EDIT**We have now stayed at this hotel! And as such I have changed my review to reflect that.Upon arrival we had a room upgrade waiting for us (call me sceptical, but I?ve never had a room upgrade in 37 years of trying?. Maybe a note was left to impress ?) and so we stayed in a suite inside ?The Pavilion? which was amazing. Huge, comfortable bed, large bath and bathroom, nice view over the golf course with deer in the morning to watch. Very pleasant!!We also had a very nice meal here on the first evening with myself and partner both really enjoying everything we had! We had breakfast here both mornings included in the stay and it was a good mix, you could order a meal (eggs/full english/smoked salmon) or just have cereals or pastries from the buffet. In all the stay was very pleasant but it was seriously tarnished by everything leading up to that point. My advice is don?t stay here on a voucher as it seems to be deemed ?inferior? and so they won?t prioritise your right to book. Once there everything is very pleasant.Rooms: Large. Clean. Modern.Food & drinks: Had a good variety for breakfast and a good evening meal here.

Stayed here for work, all rooms are above the pavilion and found to be noisy late at night moving tables etc ready for following day and 6 in morning banging around, so not a positive stay and won?t be coming back.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Hunstanton. We stayed in a cottage suite and it was really nicely fitted out with everything you need including a small kitchen. The rooms were clean, modern and very comfortable. The location is quite set back from Hunstanton so it is very quiet and peaceful, whilst also being just a short drive to the seafront. Breakfast was excellent, with really good quality options and the first bean to cup coffee machine I have ever tried that makes a decent coffee. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming too.We had a lovely weekend staying here and it didn't cost the earth. We will definitely return for another weekend soon!

Stayed 3 nights on dinner bed breakfast basis. A super location surrounded by the golf course and the hotel looks to be very well maintained internally and externally. Our room in the pavilion was spacious, modern, very clean, quiet and had all the basic essentials. As an added bonus it was one of the few mainly dog free hotels in Norfolk. Breakfast service was fine with an adequate selection, ex twice we were offered the cooked breakfast for adjacent tables. Dinner was a bit more hit and miss. Some examples. Day 1 no sirloin steak or oxtail available. We ordered the bread selection with oil and butter but no butter served so we had to ask. Ordered crème brûlée and shortbread biscuit but no biscuit served. My wife ordered mousse but was bought cheesecake, so waited five mins for this to be changed. Day 2 ordered Pork belly with creamed leek, cabbage, peas and new potatoes. When served - no cabbage, no peas or new potatoes, but leek and French beans??? and what can only be described as a sort of bubble and squeak potato cake. Day 3 ordered Blade of beef with curly kale, no curly kale but got broccoli and French beans?? None of these in isolation were a problem but collectively it becomes. a bit irritating and someone needs to get a grip on the Mulberry restaurant eye for detail. If you are going to state vegetable accompaniments on the menu then please stick to the menu. When the golfing parties arrived in the adjoining dining room at 8.00 the Mulberry needs seemed to become secondary and insufficient staff to service both. Despite the above we would consider staying again but it needs sharpening up and a bit more staff training.

We have just had a 3 night break at this hotel. We don?t play golf but we love walking around the N Norfolk coast and like to stay here as our base. We were in a lavender cottage room upstairs. Comfy bed and very clean room. Powerful shower plus there was also a bath with shower attachment. The area around the shower cubicle needed a little attention. We ate a 3 course meal in the Mulberry restaurant on our first night. We had a little delay getting our table as there was a very large party of men in there. However the staff were lovely and offered us complementary drinks whilst we waited. Food was very nice. Also on our package we got vouchers for 2 glasses of Prosecco and an afternoon tea. We had the tea on our last day before leaving for home. It was the best afternoon tea we have ever had! The scones were the lightest I?ve ever tasted and there was loads of clotted cream. We took all the cakes and macaroons home with us. We were served by Sue who was very efficient and kept asking if we needed more of anything. She was lovely. All in all another wonderful break at Heacham Manor.

We enjoyed an excellent group golfing weekend. The course suits all abilities with some challenging holes, particularly ones that have water hazards. There is a stream that runs through some holes, and a small lake which the waterfowl enjoy. The hotel rooms spacious - our one had a separate lounge area and kitchenette. The restaurant service was good with a varied menu, and a separate vegan menu on request.

Beautiful Hotel. Amazing room and bathroom. One of the cleanest places we have ever been to. Such a comfortable bed, didn't want to get up! Fabulous fluffy towels. The breakfast was amazing. Great choice of cereal and the best home made Granola we have ever tasted. My Full English and my Husband's Salmon and Scrambled eggs were to die for. Every member of staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble to them.

Absolutely blown away by this hotel booked with hotels.com. The staff were lovely, the room was huge and fantastic. The bar area had a beautiful veranda outside overlooking the golf course, with a glass balustrade so the kids could play safely while we chilled. We saw hares and wild birds. The travel cot was already erected with a sheet and even a baby-safe blanket provided. The breakfast was fantastic and all included- a continental buffet as well as a served cooked breakfast! To top it all off we had use of the sister site in Hunstanton which had 3 pools and entertainment. It made our weekend away at the seaside extra special, I cannot rate it highly enough. Thank you for our stay!

We were on holiday in Heacham with friends and came here for a meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Even though it seemed to be a very busy evening the staff were pleasant and attentive and we did not have to wait too long for our drinks or our meal. Food was excellent.
