Delightful haven in a very pretty village!Brigitte and Andrew really looked after me on my 1 night whistle-stop stay. Thank you.Rooms: Lovely single room with a very comfy bed and large en-suite.Food & drinks: Breakfast was really something.

A curio shop hosted by delightful people who were eclectic and had a great range of stock. Even if you don't buy anything it is great fun just to browse. Also do great bed and breakfasts.Walkability: Great small village setting

Just an amazing quirky venue with lovely hosts. The breakfast was simply outstanding. Truly exceptional. Had one of the rooms within the beautiful and eclectic home. The bathroom was excellent with shower and separate bath. Did a private browsing session of the antique shop and got a special chess set.

Host contacted me to confirm my arrival time and to warn me that the pub wouldn't be serving food on a Sunday evening. I was given a very warm welcome on arrival (particularly by Monty one of the two labradors!) and an upgrade to a delightful room with an en-suite bathroom with both a roll-top slipper bath and a walk-in shower inside the main building. I was also offered a delicious bowl of curry and rice. The building is a former Victorian school, set on a pretty village green, and is chock-full of interesting objects, with also a wide range of antique and vintage items that are for sale. There are cosy nooks in which to sit and a pleasant dining room. Andrew is an excellent cook (he is a former chef), and Bridget runs the B&B and antiques business. They are generous hosts. I have never seen such a wide range of cereals on offer at breakfast.Rooms: The whole place oozes character and quirky charm. My room was a calm oasis after the extraordinary collection of artefacts and flamboyant decoration on the ground floor. Many historic pieces from the original school have been retained. This is a superb bolthole for those who like a place with character and a dab of English eccentricity. It is not a great location if you are minimalist in spirit or in your design preferences.

What a fantastic quaint B&B. The room was comfortable, warm, and had everything we needed. Cups etc were replenished and milk and water was available in a fridge. The owners were lovely very friendly and extremely helpful in organising taxis, food and catering to our every need- including early check in, allergies etc. We really appreciated it. Would definitely stay in this quirky, friendly place again.

The Chalk and Cheese is an absolutely amazing find. Just a couple of miles from Marham base if you are visiting relatives there. Very dog friendly. In fact dogs are positively welcomed. Amazing hosts and the most superb breakfast. Recommend you phone them direct instead of going through a booking agency. We will be back.

The owners were welcoming and the room we stayed in (the Workshop} was separate from the main building and beautifully quiet. The shower room was spacious and tea and coffee were provided along with some yummy biscuits. We had a really comfortable night's stay.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay and felt immediately at home. It's a lovely location and the old school house provides a characterful experience. Bridget and Andrew were great hosts who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and high quality. Bridget and Andrew made recommendations for possible local visits which were much appreciated. We had a very enjoyable evening meal at The King's Arms and how nice to just stroll across the green - and back !

We stayed at the chalk & cheese b&b for valentines ?? What an amazing place to stay in, so much hard work to restore this place, that Bridget & Andrew have created. Their belongings in every corner of this old school house is mind blowing. Andrew?s bar is something to behold . Lottie your full of life & charm (the dog) Bridget thank you also for giving up your fire when we returned home early . Breakfast was absolutely delicious cooked by Andrew a man to my heart wearing a pinny to cook .. We had a fun , relaxing comfortable stay. Thank you ?
