The food was absolutely phenomenal. We came during Wells carnival so it was very busy, but we were seated quickly and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Amazing atmosphere in the pub, we were served by Emilie and she really helped make the night unforgettable. I can't recommend this place more!

We ate here but didn?t use the rooms. There were a lot of dogs in the restaurant, which I don?t agree with, animals and food establishments don?t mix in my opinion. Some of the dogs were regularly barking at each other and it marred the evening.
We went straight into main course which seemed to take quite a long time to come. The food was good. We ordered the rhubarb crumble for dessert but it was inedible, the crumble was greasy and the rhubarb had a strange chemical taste. At no time did any of the waitresses ask us if the food was OK, in fact it was hard to draw their attention although they were often just standing at the till.
When the waitress brought the bill I told her about the dessert and she fed back to the chef and the dessert was knocked off the bill. The Globe is a nice place but there is some improvement needed in customer service and quality control of food that is sent out

We visited for Sunday lunch on 4th August 2025.
We were a table of 2.
The starters were delicious a prawn cocktail full of prawns and I had deep fried brie with were served with warm freshly baked bread.
The tagliatelle was topped with chicken with crispy skin and a beautiful mushroom creamy sauce.
My roast beef was pink as requested. The roast potatoes were delicious.
The side serving of vegetables was adequate but I would of loved cauliflower cheese.
The staff were friendly but the bill never arrived at table so I paid at bar.
This needs to improve.

The food here was very poor. My husband has to take his fish and chips back to the staff because the fish was very burnt. I could not eat what I thought was cabbage as it was raw and the carrots were hard but ok. The Yorkshire pudding was like eating cardboard. For £54.00 I think the standard of food should be much much better than what it is.

Spent four nights here in July, have to say it was by far one of the best Pub-Hotel experiences we've had. The room was very nice, clean, spacious, staff are very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any requests. The hotel food is top notch! Location is ideal for us as it's not far from the sea / port, and close to the main shopping street and bus terminus. We will be back!

Possibly one of the worst places I?ve n wells. The bar is run by children I counted Five and one actually working. The pizza chef has zero clue how to make a decent pizza even after I told him I make pizzas And my wife?s main from the bar was horrible burnt chips The experience was terrible.

We loved it here. Family of 4 with two toddlers and it was perfect. Great location, food the room everything was a very high standard. Especially enjoyed the excellent breakfast. We?ll definitely look to come back
