We were travelling through Thetford on bicycles whilst completing the rebellion way. The Travelodge was an excellent choice to stop over. Very centrally located in a lovely area near wooded walkways and waterways. The staff were very accommodating with storage of the two bikes. It also goes without saying that the room was impeccably clean.

Nothing to fault the rooms, very clean and comfy bed. Easy to get to and park, with river close by, which made the morning start a bit more special. Lovely shower too. Breakfast boxes are better than no breakfast.

The location of this hotel is great in the centre of where you need to be and all within walking distance. Check in was simple and the chap was helpful and polite. The room was a typial room big enough and tidy. The bathroom was small as they tend to be with a shower curtain/tray and you need to make sure the curtain was in the tray! This was one of the hottest nights in August and typical TL no Air Conditioning just the window that opens a few inches and a fan. Sleepless night was had. Had a shower at 7 and there was no hot water, just ok enough to have a really quick shower. On check out i wasnt the only one wanting to speak to reception but they were clearly in hiding as they wouldnt come out and they wouldnt answer the phone number they left on the reception desk to call. It served a purpose but Travelodge will lose out with the changing in our environment where AC become more vital and their policy of not having AC even in new builds which this one is.

Worst experience. I had paid for 2 nights at just over £188. As we arrived reception realised that we had accidentally clicked the Telford hotel instead of thetford was an honest simple mistake! To then be ran around and around in circles with many phone calls that WE ARE CHARGED at by each minute no help. To then be told to get the reception to email and see what he could do. With a reply of we can stay if we pay a further more nearly £300 on top of what we already paid and an extra £10 for admin on top of that!!! Which we just cannot afford in the slightest we thought the money we already paid was high yes we made an innocent mistake we hold up to that but we?re only human and mistakes are made we travelled over 3 hours to take our children on a surprise break away for the weekend and now it is ruined! Had to beg family to help us pay an extra £123 on top of the £188 we paid to be allowed to stay after going around in circles and being told if we don?t pay at least that then we would lose out on ALL THE MONEY WE PAID! complaint has gone unanswered. Dreadful company. To then hear the woman on the phone say that who cares about them and there views don?t matter to me as the receptionist was telling her he wanted to do the best for us because we wasn?t taking anything out on him and just trying to come to a solution her being damn right disgusting degrading us and my children saying we all don?t matter!. My young children tired aggy and just wanting to Relax and enjoy time away from home at this point we?re also dragged through the ringer! Over three hours with customer service back and forth and emails galore we was left with no choice but to pay the extra. If we went home we would lose the first 188 with nothing to gain! Now to enter the room skint deflated and just absolutely disgusted to find mould all in the bathroom. Dirty taps and just not nice place to stay which angered us more as what the hell was we paying for. Further more it?s a huge teenage and drinkers / drug users hangout. Groups everywhere causing loud LOUD noises and just antisocial behaviour making the experience worse! I?ve never experienced anything like this and definitely don?t want to use travellodge again! Just to say this is no reflection on the poor lad that was working behind reception he was professional and kind and so lovely and tried his best to help although it was all out of his hands we cannot thank him enough. Just wish the people behind the phone and emails would take a leaf out of his book! AND THINK OF THE INNOCENT PEOPLE BEHIND THE BOOKINGS. As a huge company never felt so let down!. And any guarantee my complaints will just be ignored.

Worst experience. I had paid for 3 nights last August. As we were going to be late checking in I rang in the afternoon to let them know. At 8pm I received a phone call asking me what time I would be checking in and I said 9.30. At 9pm I received another call to say my room had been relet. It is their company policy to overbook. My promised compensation has not materialised and my subsequent complaint has gone unanswered. Dreadful company.

At £150 a night, I?d expect a slight sense of luxury. This hotel felt incredibly basic and budget despite the premium price tag. The entire hotel felt extremely humid and made getting to sleep very difficult. No option of a proper breakfast is a crazy omission. The breakfast boxes they had on offer, again, were bare minimum effort and cost extra on top of a hefty nightly rate. These issue wouldn?t have been so bothersome if the rate reflected the budget experience I had. Wouldn?t recommend or visit again.

Very comfortable, clean room with everything needed for a short stay. The staff were very friendly from Tom who welcomed us and checked us in to a lovely helpful lady called Vicky who helped us with the vending machine and providing us with some water for the room. Have stayed before and would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Thetford to take part in the Dads Army walking tour and were very pleased with our choice of staying at Travelodge. Well situated for the town and all amenities. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very quiet

Always sleep well here and never have any complaints. The staff are always polite and helpful and the rooms are always clean and comfy. No frills but none needed. The important things are there every time.

Great staff, friendly and helpful. Lovely fresh clean room. Comfy bed and pillows. Shame our nights sleep was spoilt by the screeching and screaming of 4 inconsiderate women sodding about outside taking selfies in the early hours on the benches under our window, stupidly balancing on the edge of the water, then with the bloke in the room next door heckling them and wanting them to come up and join him for god only knows what but it wasn?t pleasant and also the nightclub booming out thumping music until 3am no one slept much at all. Based on this we wouldn?t stay again which is a shame as the hotel was lovely and it?s so handy for visiting our family, but the noise has put us off. Disappointed as it?s such a nice location.

The bed was uncomfortable, thin duvet and the door slamming from the staff was a bit much especially when you have a small child. Not to mention the very strong smell of cannabis on the ground floor. Tried to speak to someone on reception but we was always greeted with a sign instead a person.

Terrible location.... So noisy all times of the day with people shouting into the evening. Room was ok but the bathroom could have been slightly bigger, the window ledge had a microfibre cloth discarded on it and it was too hot. Parking was ok but very limited.

Arrived to wonder where the reception was - first floor take the lift. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Room large modern clean and comfortable with shower.Paid £3 for WiFi which said capable of 156MB. On 3rd floor best I managed was 5MB download 3 MB upload which was the same as my mobile data connection and my phone claimed connection insecure so to use a VPN. I just used mobile data in the end. There is no food available except from a vending machine in the lobby where chocolate and fizzy drinks can be found. I found that Thetford is quite lacking in eating places at night and several only take cash. There is Burger Amour a pizzeria downstairs in the same building or The Bell Hotel across the road but neither are cheap: Wetherspoons is ten minutes walk maybe if you want a slightly cheaper option. My room gave a good view of the river and local drunks sitting on a bench on other side of it.I liked the hotel and would stay here if I just wanted a decent room.Rooms: Excellent rooms and that's what mattersWalkability: You can get to town centre in 5 minutes and lifts are goodFood & drinks: Bring your own or plan to eat elsewhere as no food available except the vending machine

Its ok. Comfy rooms but not a lot there. If you want a bed for a night its ok. Parking is poor, given its shared and anyone can use it. Not great if youre carrying suitcases around and have to park elsewhere.

I used this travelodge for easy access to Snetterton circuit. Plenty room in the car park, staff are friendly and helpful. There's a few places to eat around too which is a bonus. Lovely clean room and a quiet nights sleep. Best place to stay for Snetterton circuit in my opinion!
