Nice pub with rustic interior that used to be a mill. Good food

Great pub with excellent food.
Beautiful location on the mill race. Fantastic garden at rear with undercover seating if required.
Food lovely as were the delightful young staff.
Will def. return.

Beautiful setting, service very polite and most of our dishes were of good quality but sadly can?t get over the fact that the kids garlic bread with cheese starter is priced at £5.50 (for a small slice of lightly toasted bread with some garlic and cheese sprinkled on) and my Greek salad starter priced at £10.50 for some tomatoes, the tiniest sprinkling of feta and a few olives, pickled cucumber/red onion. My son?s steak was also slightly overcooked. Because of the over-pricing of certain dishes, probably wouldn?t return.

A very poor meal last Friday night. The kitchen was not coping - waited a long time for food , staff very inexperienced and the food when it arrived was very average. This was disappointing as we were with friends having previously had lovely evenings here

Quite expensive and we expected more for the price really. The atmosphere was not in keeping with the place with club music playing outside. Maybe we came on the wrong night.

This was my 4th visit but the food was ok but on entry to get to seating no body seems to know what they are doing one minute we can't sit there and have restaurant menu then you can't have snack menu then it was ok just a bit daunting as you go in.

Beautiful old pub with a stunning garden.

Lovely location and well maintained. Very clean. No idea why only 10 watt bulbs in ladies, cannot see a thing.
Very good wine list.
Service hit and miss. Polite, but either absent or present and ineffective. Partner had eaten starter before I managed to flag anyone down to ask for salt and pepper for my ?Greek salad? which was 100 grammes
Chopped mixed fresh tomatoes, 5 halved cheap green olives 4 pcs of feta and some pink strands of sweet pickled
Onion. ?
?Snacks? not cleared before starters arrived. Asked for waiter to clear it only for the waiter to disappear. Crockery remained. I moved it all to a chair. No-one moved the pile of crockery on the chair throughout whole meal. ????
But we then did get three staff ask us if ?everything ok? with mains. ?
?Summer green spaghetti? vile tasteless creamy gloop with stringy inedible green beans.
Chips with steak cold, which served to balance out the wilted watercress.
Gem salad side dish - 4 leaves! ?
Can?t ?complain? about the food as it?s not ?off? it?s just tasteless and not very enjoyable.
The entry in Michelin Guide is doing a lot of heavy lifting here; it?s not worthy of an entry, unless it?s the strategically placed watercress garnishes?

Always love going to Sculthorpe Mill. Staff are amazingly kind and welcoming to everyone. Chicken pie was to die for as usual

We only had an evening meal there. It was delicious, the service was excellent and we would happily visit again. Although we didn't stay overnight we were so impressed that we felt we thought we might return for B&B.
