Well apart from having to be wheeled out due to eating too much lol ?
The food was absolutely delicious and so nice to have home cooked decent food.
I couldn?t finish my meal of steak and ale pie that was stuffed with so much tender delicious steak.
Hubby had gammon chips with home made onion rings and mushrooms, again delicious and he left a clean plate.
Definitely recommend this place , staff are great too.

Very much enjoyed the food and service was excellent as well. Can't comment on the rooms as we only stopped for lunch.

Ordered a fillet steak when it came I couldn't even chew it. I let the waitress know, she was good enough to get another one. It was the exact same. Also my chips are salad were floating in the juices from the steak which was disgusting.Was really disappointed at this. She did ask if I wanted anything else but I would have been eating my dinner on my own as everyone by this time was half way through there's. I was charged £28 for the privilege. I also noticed how dirty the place was,on the wooden panel on the wall was absolutely thick with dust also the back of most of the chairs. Really need to sack the cleaner. If that's what we could see would hate to see the kitchen. Needless to say definitely won't be back. Really disappointed ?

Good food and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble with the owner coming back to the pub to make our desserts having already left.
Food and drinks: Great food and drinks with several great vegetarian options.

Had a lovely 2 night stay here. Staff and owners were warm and friendly. We were well fed and watered. Massive breakfast, decent ales, and a very enjoyable cheese and biscuits. Highly recommend if in Norwich or Norfolk.

I do enjoy the full English breakfast here. I do return a couple of times a month.Its good value for money and nice size portions the plate is full.

Booked a meal for 13 people about 6 weeks ago we went for the meal last Saturday and we were told we would have to wait a while as they were short staffed and had a new chef.The meals came out and the steak and ale pie was so salty the skate which was expensive was over cooked and had no taste and the mixed grills was also so overcooked and was so hard to chew and had to leave most of it .The bill was £350 (without our drinks)so we expected a lot better.
We have been going to this pub for over 25 years and is the worst we had ever experienced.We have always recommended this pub to friends but won?t be doing it anymore as it will take a while to get over this experience.To top it all we had a phone call to say they hadn?t taken out £55 deposit off and had to drive all the way back today to retrieve it where I told the lady of our bad experience and she just said oh sorry.
So as you can see I would definitely not recommend

Visited yesterday for Dinner. The food was delicious, plentiful. Plates were warm which kept the food hot. Very well done.

We came to this pub yesterday 31/7/2024 and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were very helpful. it was a pleasure eating here. We are a family of 5 and all of us agreed it?s a lovely place to come and eat a nice meal. The chips were freshly made and very hot ? we asked for the steak to be well cooked no sign of blood at all and they did just that it was lovely the best steak we?ve had. We came again tonight and again it was a very nice meal some other customers were telling the staff the meal was beautiful. 3 of us had room for desert. There?s just a right amount of chocolate on the chocolate fudge cake not too sickly just the right amount of sauce. The crumble was hot and tasted amazing there were chunks of fruit in the crumble and the custard was hot. Very much recommend this pub it?s very nice and very welcoming and is dog friendly. Definitely worth another visit

Best chips in Norfolk!
It was a Friday night and very busy ( which is usually a good thing). We had our dog and so choose to sit outside. We ordered inside and the food was served quite quickly and good portions

After a week on the broads, this was our final weekend before heading home. We arrived early but was given a wonderful reception. Breakfast was incredible. Room was beautiful, welcoming staff, evening food amazing! Highly recommend, although we tried to book again for next year, and was very disappointed, it's already fully booked!! Not surprised why. Can't recommend enough.
