A uniquely styled location! Menus ( bar food and dining room) are excellent if a little expensive( but great quality) with much choice and local suppliers. However gluten- free choices are not marked up, making it difficult to know with asking if coeliacs can have a good meal too.

Wonderful beer garden lots of deer feeding close by. Had a meal for the first time there was impressed lots of steak, lamb crab, pies etc all very well cooked would definitely return again

What an incredible evening meal and nights stay followed by breakfast the next. A HUGE portion of very high quality steak for dinner after a drink in the garden (a whole deer park) beforehand.
Food aside, the service was brilliant, mixing the feel and friendliness of a local pub tied into a well functioning restaurant.

Disappointing as seems not to be able to accommodate walk-in?s anymore. Called 4 times from 11-1:30pm with no answer, turned up at 2:05pm to both dining rooms full of empty tables, staff stood around chatting, and was told they couldn?t serve us as they only did bookings/timed seating and were finished for the day (Google states lunch served until 3pm). Very disappointing as I?ve had many lunches here when popping up to North Norfolk. Won?t risk it again. Thankfully lots of other places have opened so ample alternatives.

Absolutely beautiful location - possibly one of the best for a pub in the UK. The garden and interior are idyllic - and it?s got a great vibe. However I?ve been here twice for dinner and the meal each time has been disappointing. This time, we ordered the steak (which is £48) and after them suggesting they serve it medium-rare, it was overcooked (more well-done) and wasn?t seasoned / charred. The accompanying veg (peas and potatoes) were quite bland too, but the chicken pie was good and the cod cheeks were very good. We told the waiter about the disappointing steak, and he said he?d feed back to the chefs, however, despite this they didn?t comp anything on the bill. Would probably recommend coming here for drinks and bar snacks, rather than a meal.

Blissful sat outside with a pint watching the deer an idyllic location. Food look fantastic too will be back to try it.

We've been many times, even had our son's wedding party in the Emin room. Today the food was unacceptable for the price we paid. So very disappointing especially since we brought overseas visitors
