The nurses are great and one doctor who I can't remember his name couldn't help you enough you but the rest just don't care about you at all. They just fob you off... example: I had a fall just before Christmas and hurt my finger. It swelled so just left it to go down on it's own but after a month it was still swollen and I couldn't bend my finger at all...it hurts so I sent a message online and they had a physio contact me to make an appointment...due to work I was unable to make that appointment and replied so saying I would need the latest appointment they have but my reply as short and told well we don't have any. That's it so I guess it will stay this way forever then. I also have been having really bad memory issues....only to be told, well we don't know what it is, there is nothing wrong but oh yeah you do have dead brain tissue. No thought of further testing or help or even how to help myself. Basically I just have to deal with it regardless if I become a danger to myself or others. So now I'm trying to find another doctor's but the reviews I have read subject I should just self diagnose and avoid all but a and e in the future. Good luck getting any help from this lot

Shocking how long they expect you to wait for a appointment, no longer exist at this place to see a dr on the day for a appointment for concern or reassurance with a worrying issue, definitely made my mental health worse , 3 weeks Iv got to wait with some worrying issues that Iv been told to see a dr soon as , never get anywhere either ! such a let down and worry when you can?t even see a dr anymore on the day or even a couple of day when your health goes down hill and want some answers everything is long winded and no care is shown when you explain your worry?s over waiting so long . Definitely be moving surgery I want to be able to receive the care everyone should get when wanting or needing to see a dr not a text with a 3 week wait !

Tried to book an appointment for my son who is suffering health anxiety and bad headaches to be told I have to wait two weeks for an appointment when you are told to speak up about mental health and get seen and has also been to the Dr's there to be told he wasn't there to discuss that and make another appointment disgusting when it takes alot to speak up about mental health.

Absolute Disgrace! Got put on antibiotics which doesnt work for a viral infection which has been making me feel worse. I was classed as urgent and I spoke to a receptionist asking if I would receive a call before 6pm as that is when the pharmacy closes, The receptionist said oh it will be well before 6 still no call absolutely disgusting. Shame really as Dr Tunham is lovely but the surgery is a shamble, Literally I am epileptic and classed as high risk with covid and things, Really dissatisfied and now I won't be able to get the antibiotics until tomorrow.... Thanks a lot also you never rang me 3 times this morning and there is nothing wrong with my phone.

I give up with this place. Was supposed to have a phone call this morning but nope. I asked to take medication for my mood and anxiety multiple times around taking 2 different medications. The last 2 times I have seen my doctor he has basically tried to get rid of me. I never leave reviews unless I have to but this is me done. I expect no response.Update:I contacted via the online process (only way to get an appointment) to explain I had covid 3 months ago and have had a cough and cold since. Monday I noticed my fingers and lips were blue and was coughing up a lot of hard material from my lungs.THIS PLACE SAID UNFORTUNATELY THEY CANNOT GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR ANTIBIOTICS BECAUSE THEY'RE BUSY.I am so angry. They have messed me around with my mental health, been useless in the past and now this. If you want any form of care from a doctors surgery DO NOT select this surgery. In fact I would say they have made my health worse.I plan on phoning tomorrow and asking for the complaints procedure because I can no longer accept this level of incompetence.

Since covid this place has seriously gone down hill, getting an appointment is basically impossible, they always say they are busy but when you do manage to finally get an appointment and go down there the chairs are empty, before the pandemic these chairs were fall and it was still easier to get an appointment.You are unable to ring up and book an appointment so you have to do it online and you can only try and book one while the practice is open, it's absolutely absurd, worse this practice has ever been.

Some of the male GPs there are really rude, with rude and careless attitude, I told him I passed out 2 times during a monthtime, he told me it could just my hormones or stress without any test or check ups. Ask me to book a blood test in the hospital while they could just do it there. Been sick for over 2 months, saw 3 different doctors, only a female one gave out some helpful advice, others just being useless and tell me come again if I still sick. ?

Great service from the Bowthorpe surgery, when needed most, the reception staff and Dr George (amongst others) have been excellent. Everyone associated with the surgery shoul be proud if themselves.Thanks for your continued support.

Incredibly poor service. Unable to make an appointment over the phone, HAVE to make one online. Should be able to do both (not in lockdown anymore) Also receptionists are high-handed and rude, seeing themselves as a bastion of defense for the GP rather than there to serve the patient. When you do finally get an appointment, it's very rare to see the same GP twice (so much for continuity of care) And as for trying to get an appointment with the nurse and getting the practice to keep it... You might as well forget it. The NHS mantra is that the Patient is the most important person in the system, well not here it seems . This is coming from a worker within the NHS. This surgery and it's practices need a complete overhaul. I will say the actual care given by the Gp's is more than acceptable, it just doesn't make up for all the other shortfalls.

Do NOT go here for mental health support. Multiple times now I have asked for help over the years and have been parred off with a HELPLINE each time. They have told me I have depression, anxiety, now an eating disorder. And what are they going to do to help? Refer me for clinical treatment, you might think - but NO. They?re going to just dish out volunteer helplines, in which the best the volunteers can do is listen, maybe offer some unhelpful advice, but they CANNOT treat you. So why aren?t the doctors doing more? Why are they not helping? Why are they not doing what they are literally there for? Awful doctors surgery. It?s hard enough admitting to your mental health issues, but to do it and think you?re finally going to be helped, just to be brushed off with a helpline. It?s truly exhausting.
