Really friendly local shop. Not a huge range of goods but all the essentials you might need. Try the sausage cheese and bacon rolls. An earlier review said it was closed at lunchtime but we were there at lunchtime and it was open - maybe because it was a Saturday?

When I'm staying with partner in the village always like popping in for bits and bobs a bottle of wine or 2. And the new look is so much better ..got all you need when you run low or forget to buy other times when out shopping

The conjoined villages of Norton and Thurlton still have a pub and a shop. The shop is owned by the village and run by volunteers. It serves the local community a stores and general daytime meeting place where you can shop for essential items or just chat and drink tea. There's seating outside so you can rest on your cycling tour and enjoy a choc-ice. There's seating inside so you can read a magazine and drink coffee.
