Had a great meal here yesterday. It was the midway point for me and my work colleague to meet up so we decided to have lunch while we were there.
I went old school and had scampi, and she had chilli prawns. The food was really nice....not looking at michelin stars, but there was great flavours, it was impeccably presented and the service that was second to none.
Super clean venue and staff wee absolutely lovely.
Would thoroughly recommend.
I have also been for a roast dinner here a couple of month back and that was an equally great experience - the food & service was brilliant.
Definitely give them a try!

They've recently DROPPED a star from their previous '5' Food Hygiene Rating - in March 2025. They had the option to improve & be re-inspected within 3 months but evidently weren't bothered. Mind you Dunston Hall is no better - also a 4. I have eaten here several times (group choice). The venue is fine - nicely decorated, good location & ample parking - though you may want to go somewhere more inspiring to sit next to than an A-road but that's tree nature of a coaching Inn & it's easy to find. The staff are friendly enough, if not the most communicative (forgetting requests). So why 1*? Well, the food is very mediocre - you'd eat better at Wetherspoons for less money - which is unacceptable at the prices. The portions are poor: £9 for 4 tasteless prawns anyone? ~£30 for a 'Surf & Turf' consisting of 2 - yes two - prawns dumped on a bland steak. The food was edible, but it compares badly to other eateries in the area & is over-priced.

I stayed overnight at the SugarBeat and it was so nice!! Lovely room with nice little touches, such as a fridge and aircon! The dinner was fab and breakfast was amazing! Lovely staff too! I will stay here again next time I am travelling to Norwich.

Quite disappointed with the food today, which is a shame as myself and my family have always loved dining here. The kids meal was £9 and it was shocking to be honest. My son didn't touch it. He had 6 tiny chicken nuggets, two pieces of garlic bread and a few tablespoons of loose corn that was supposed to be corn
on the cob. My lamb burger was Grissely and tasted like processed meat. For what we paid, I can say that I am disappointed. The staff were friendly and premises were clean and tidy, but the food fell beyond our expectations I'm afraid

We had a lovely meal to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. As we were a big group, we were asked if we?d like to use the private function room. The staff were very accommodating and the food was absolutely delicious. A big thumbs up from everyone in our party. Thank you
