If you have recently moved to the UK do not use nationwide. They will not allow you to use your NI confirmation letter as proof of address despite having your name and address on the letter. I tried to open an account for my wife and was told that the confirmation letter could be a forged letter, yet a utility bill couldn't be forged .... if you want to open an account easily and hassle free use NatWest they take NI confirmation letters.

In times of much uncertainty, when you need a bank with compassion Nationwide never fails, this week they went beyond their remit and solved all my issues, I cannot fault the customer service, especially the lady who dealt with my case.

5 stars to James and the two other lads today (as well as the lady manager) I have a massive issue with my online accounts and James was very reassuring, calm and made feel at ease. Credit to the business!

I popped into Nationwide, St Stephens St, Norwich a couple of weeks ago regarding a new card reader for my account. Despite tremendous noise from outside, the lovely James was able to take my details and advise of my options. James was exceptionally understanding in rather difficult circumstances and researched my options thoroughly to include sending the replacement devices to my sisters address in Hull.As a follow-up, James called me today to confirm the address for delivery since new devices were now in stock at the branch.James, you are an absolute CREDIT to your team! Your kindness and understanding (in particular of a sensitivity I have to noise which was exacerbated from the outside roadworks) was greatly appreciated. You have gone the extra mile and beyond. You are sure to climb the ladder rapidly in this world as your enthusiasm and thoroughness to complete a task and more, with solutions to problems and understanding of unusual circumstances for overseas customers grows.I do hope your manager will see this review and reward you accordingly. The steadfastness you have displayed during extremely difficult times within the branch as the outside roadworks continues is not to be missed. Personally, I would need to run a mile, but you stood there, with a smile on your face, and approachable demeanour and willingness to do the very best you can for your customer.Go well young man, you deserve so much to succeed in this world.Kindest regardsLynda

I went In to the branch this morning as I had some fraud on my card after losing it yesterday and I explained about my mental health which means I struggle with things like this and they were so helpful to me and sorted my issue so quickly and made me feel really at ease, thank you so much to the staff I can't thank you enough for helping me

I popped into st stephens branch and was approached by James. I needed a years worth of bank statements printed out and he did so more than willingly. He also helped me with a more personal matter not to do with banking. He certainly went the extra mile for me. A very pleasant young man and an asset to Nationwide.
