Knowing nothing about what would be the best equipment my daughter would need for her GCSE Art, we went into this store and asked a member of staff for advice. We were assisted by an extremely knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic staff member named Ellie. We got everything we needed and got great value for money. What an asset this young lady is. What I thought would be a tricky buying experience was actually very simple.

Hobbycraft is one of those places where you pop in for a ball of yarn and leave feeling like you?ve stocked up on joy. For crochet and sewing in particular and almost anything for artists, it?s a goldmine. The yarn selection is huge, soft chunky wools for cosy blankets, sleek fabrics for detailed projects, and the sewing section covers everything from fabrics to sowing maxhines and their accessories.
Accessibility is good and there is an elevator at the back of the shop for anyone wanting to get to the first floor.
The prices are fair, the variety is good, and you walk away not just with supplies but with ideas buzzing for what you?ll make next.

Not the biggest selection of craft materials over the 2 floors, but the staff are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful and never rush you. The craft classes here I've heard are very good but I haven't tried them yet.

Rude staff who grudgingly answered my question as briefly as they could, clearly couldn?t be bothered to show me where something was so just pointed in the general direction. Then another knocked into me more than once. I apologised for getting their way but got no response from them just knocked into again. Great! I?ll shop on line from now on then. Which is a shame because this is why places are closing down. But I?m not being treated like that.

Visited here today, I didn't need to buy anything, I just entered the store to enjoy the aesthetics. It's like stepping back into the mid 2000s, original fluorescent lights on the ground floor, industrial hum from the HVAC system, and an old Stannah elevator. I really enjoyed my visit here and would reccomend.

Becky the assistant manager was incredibly rude and told me it was my fault she couldn?t give me a receipt - I understand she didn?t know how to use the computers but she was very rude and disrespectful in her communication, and to be honest she should know how to use the computers as an assistant manager. This was one of my favourite shops until I had this negative experience.
