Had Hamiltons in to price up the flooring we wanted done. James came out promptly and then helped us choose the correct flooring for the area. Daniel and his son fitted the flooring and skirting so expertly, also cleaned up and left the rooms spotless. Thanks to all the team for there help and advice.

Really great experience levelling and laying a beautiful oak wood floor. Danny and Mark were wonderful - obviously loved working with wood (especially beautiful wood) and worked quietly and efficiently leaving everything absolutely pristine afterwards - leaving me with a beautiful floor which has transformed my Alexander technique studio.

I placed the order and was told my order would be delivered today between 11:08 and 15:08.I phoned Hamilton at 16:30 today and found out the delivery was cancelled and I was not informed. My fitter was waiting for more than 5 hours. They said I requested the ordered stuff to be carried to third floor, therefore they cancelled the delivery. But they didn't let me know.The point is whatever Hamilton staff agree or not, whatever they can do or not, they need to let me know.Aa staff called James tried to find all excuses, like I informed them too late, accused me of threating them. But my email said:Hi Jon,I will be home alone I cannot bring them up to third floor. I told this to James.The email was sent out at 14:57. They had later afternoon and the whole morning to send a text message or email.I just don't understand why the staff are rude, unprofessional.

We have just had Parador oak loft laminate flooring laid in our dining room, which looks superb.James advice on the laminate and materials was extremely helpful, and he came out to do a survey at short notice.Danny installed the floor, he was professional, did a first class job, and left the room clean.We decided on Hamiltons as they could take responsibility for the complete job, unlike some other suppliers we considered.I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend Hamiltons.

We have just had Panaget oak parquet laid in our hall and it looks amazing. Purchased from Hamiltons who are always very helpful and prompt with emails and orders. We would recommend them.

Really poor customer service, constantly missed delivery dates nothing short of a fiasco. NB. The response from the owner that had been provided is not answering the question of why they never showed up on the dates promised when I had been waiting all day for the delivery.

Paid for in march, over £1,000 worth of doors, fitted this week as we had delays with builders completing prior work,Found a pane of glass damaged, apparently a door must have a ?sell by date?, as we cannot get any refund or at the very least a pane of glass!, Be very careful, cant fault the other doors, but customer service is poor , they have got your money so you can forget it !Will not recommend, purely on customer service !I would give no stars but it wont let me post my review !!!Dont forget, along with food, doors now have a ?sell by date? !!

First they missed the bulk discount off my £2000 laminate flooring order, so would have overcharged me by 10% if I hadn't noticed. Then, after I paid, they asked if there would be a forklift to take delivery (??!), otherwise it would be a £85 fee, not free like I was told.I decided to buy elsewhere, with actual free delivery and a competent, professional service.Edit: amusing response ?. Utter nonsense of course, trying pathetically to deflect attention away from their incompetence lol. But make your own mind up.And bought the scotia from high street retailer, 25% lower price.

Excellent communication before whilst deciding on and throughout job - thanks to the whole team for delivering a show stopper of a floor! Looks and feels wonderful! Wouldn?t hesitate to recommend or to use again ??????????

Nice floor. In-house fitting we felt very overpriced (1 person for 1 day) albeit good - £650 (we presumed it would be 2 people turning up at that rate!). Unfortunate experience with the person who we understand to be the ?owner? being told that we were wasting his time 5 minutes into a face to face conversation is not quite the response we were expecting when attempting to civilly sort out a query (whether he saw the query as valid or not!). Problem in the end was dealt with ?professionally? by another member of his team (who obviously has met their website claim ?specially trained to communicate and listen to our customers?).Would have liked to have had a good experience and given 5 stars, but have been left feeling very deflated by our after-sales experience.UPDATE - 7 DECEMBER FOLLOWING BUSINESS RESPONSE....Would love to go into detail regarding the query, but suffice to say ? just 1 board out of the WHOLE 22m² floor had a large ?chiselled? dug out knot ? in a very noticeable place (we were told the floor would have random ones throughout the boards) ? there were no others (unfortunately) ? and therefore, to us, looked odd!We felt we gave a factual review (ie Share your opinion to help others make better informed purchasing decisions, and help businesses provide a better service), but just in case, we will clarify:Does it look nice - YESWas fitting expensive ? YES ? over double what we recently paid for both an experienced floor fitter and carpenter per day ? we were under the impression it was 2 people coming out ?.. and the ?mistaken? view that if we had in-house any queries/problems would be more likely to be sorted easily.Has it added value ? YES ? about what it cost!Were you happy with service you were provided ? NO ? but we did make clear in the review the fact that another member of staff tried to make things better?Did your colleague really waste his time?? his attitude improved the review we would have given ? he was polite, helpful, noticed and fixed the issue (better than it looked) and advised on a couple of other minor queries we had ? job done, customers .. happier. Just think how happy we would have been if this had happened right from our first, very polite, querying email and how much time and energy would have saved without having (what must have been a very onerous task) the job of giving brief replies to 3 emails, a 1 minute phone call and a 5 minute visit.Could Hamilton?s have got more stars ? YES - It must have been quite obvious that we were not happy with how we had been treated - we are quite thick skinned and have come across some ?interesting? characters in our time, but even we were shocked at the way we were spoken to! (we haven?t included everything we experienced above, as it would make even longer read!).We understand ?sorry? seems to be the hardest word for some - a lot of companies use a phrase similar to ?. ?We are sorry that on this occasion our customer service did not meet your expectations?, but somehow, we rather feel that this may be just a little too painful and waste more of your ?time and energy? ? so we will just look at our floor with fondness and thank you very much for allowing us to spend the best part of £3k with your esteemed company ? we are so sorry that on this occasion ?your customers did not meet your expectations?!

Excellent service and a very helpful team available to advise over the telephone. I have had some bad experiences with other flooring providers, who often take in the orders and the payments and later inform the customers that the product will not be available for several months. Hamilton's have been very upfront and accurate about what is available in their stock and what is not.Although they did not have the exact product that I was looking for, they recommended an alternative which was very similar. In reality, when the product arrived, it was actually almost the same. I therefore really applaud their services - particularly their knowledgeable staff - and highly recommend this company.

Hamiltons has an excellent range of products and Jordan guided us professionally to choose the best for our house. The Kahrs engineered oak is really lovely and enhances our home hugely. The delivery experience was spot on and the after sales care exceptional. In every respect we are very happy with the quality of product and service we received and would recommend Hamiltons to anyone looking for superb wooden flooring and professional service.

We had our oak floor measured by Hamilton's. We ordered the oak flooring based on the measurements taken by Jaeger and were provided with 2 quotes, one for supply and one for supply and fit. We knew that we had the last of the stock but were assured there was enough. We were told it would be no problem for them to hold the flooring for a little while. We then had the flooring delivered and waited a few months to fit until renovation works around the house were completed.We then had a professional floor fitter/carpenter lay the floor for us and he informed us were were around 3/4 planks short. I contacted Hamilton's to ask if it would be possible to get some more flooring, knowing it would not match, but to at least finish the job. I was told to take a look at their warehouse. There were 4 loose planks and a damaged box which I was told I could buy but it had to be cash. I was a tad surprised and declined Jaegers offer. I then spoke to him the following day and explained I did not feel it was unreasonable to take the loose and damaged flooring (which did not match my own) to at least finish the job. Jaeger then proceeded to tell me:- He had done me a favour by measuring for a supply only job in the first place- He had done me a favour by hold the floor for me for a short while- Argued that he very rarely makes mistakes- I should have checked that there was enough flooring when it arrived (not sure that's my job as the customer)- I have lost or damaged some flooring (boxes are 2.4m long)- He had done me a favour by offering my the loose planks and damaged flooring (that don't match mine) at a little over cost.As much as I was extremely grateful for all the massive favours Jaeger had done for me I wasn't entirely won over. He did eventually concede that I could have the 4 loose planks but nothing more. The issue that Jaeger appeared to have was that we had not used their fitters, wasn't made aware this was a condition of the sale...Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend getting your flooring here, and if you do, I'd ask who is doing the measuring and then make sure you double check when it arrives. Else you could end up with a few gaps like we have.
