The service and lack of care is so poor and that despite the local manager saying they would get back to me nothing has been done.
So I booked my car in to have all 4 tyres replaced, however a week after this I had my car booked in for a service but the Halfords centre did not put the locking wheel nut back in the car tool kit which they took from? when I called them and asked what they did with it they said and I quote ?oh we think we left in on one of seats and it might and rolled off so have you looked round the car??. Erm no why did you not put it back where it came from ?? After looking nothing could be found ? however as I needed BMW to do a service they (Halfords) then advised their next piece of amazing advise ?just snap off the locking wheel nuts and we?ll give you a new set?. The BMW garage advised against this ? as it could cause damage to the hubs, what great advise Halfords? so I had to cancel my service and break disc replacements and order new locking wheel nuts that took a week to come and a load off taking the car back and forth in my own time ?! So I called the Halfords local manager and explained and said the advise her staff gave and she said they would pay for the new locking wheel nut and compensation for all the time wasted for me, however I emailed the receipt and suggested a small compensation amount but they have now just ignored me for over a month, no response and no follow up as all.
My advice would be never to use such amateurs that can?t even put a locking wheel nut back in the place they took it from ?! and then say ?snap off the nuts? to solve their issues!! All in the whole process and hassle is a so poor I would never go back! Plus I gave them an opportunity to resolve and pay for the extra costs for locking wheel nuts and time incurred but they just ignored me !! So here we are writing a review on such a poor and careless service because they can?t be bothered to do a job properly or even make good ??

Had a wheel bearing that failed nearly a year after another branch fitted it. Garden street kindly honoured the warranty and refitted another one free of charge. Great service.

Worst service ever at a garage. Booked MOT for car and then told that because they couldn't open the boot they wouldn't do it. A squirt of WD40 did the trick but the person on reception at Bury St Edmunds told us the mechanic wasn't allowed to do this. Obvious lies and an attitude that would result in dismissal if it were any of my employees.

Had a good experience at Halfords Garden Street. Was greeted by Anna at the desk who was super lovely and knowledgeable. I had my car booked in for an MOT and Hayden gave an informative handover of what work my car would need.

Next day my son was able to remove the security car bolts himself . They had not screwed the security bolts ?.

A total mechanical and communications disaster.Took three visits to sort out a clutch problem. Each time I was told the vehicle was repaired, and ready to collect.Clutch failed twice after first ?repair? (whilst I was driving) leading to having to load vehicle onto recovery truck twice with two weeks. Dangerous to allow a car to be collected in that state.Now left with a car that has a clunky gearbox.To top it all, my car was returned with so little battery charge that I couldn?t restart it in a local car park, first day after the third ?repair?.My only way of finding out what was going on, was to walk to the garage and speak in person. No update calls from the office.

Terrible service. Went in for a diagnostic check because of the engine light on. Arrived at 10:30 they didn't take it in until the very last minute of the day. 10 mins later, wax told the DPF was probably blocked, and a sensor would need replacing cost somewhere in the region of a £1000 and follow-up report and estimate to be emailed the next day. They have made no effort to contact me with an email or phone call. Just took the 49.99 and gave nothing in teturn. Halfords is a terrible place togo
