The team provided excellent service. The pork belly roast was exceptional, with the meat possessing a melt-in-your-mouth texture, while the roast potatoes maintained their crispness even when the gravy was poured over. The cauliflower puree was also well-received, and the farm shop brownies were outstanding. We appreciate the positive experience.

Had our cream tea, gifted to us.
Perfectly presented. And very tasty. Would gladly come again to try their Sunday roasts.

Lovely garden centre and restaurant. Great selection of plants and garden ornaments.
Stopped for lunch in the restaurant on Sunday had a lovely beef roast and a Eaton mess for desert. The roast was one of the best I've had in a long time. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating when a group of Wasps decided to come and join us for lunch

Visited Green Pastures for the first time today. Lovely garden centre. Good plant selection, nice cafe with plenty of seating. Clean, tidy shop. Will definitely visit again.

I'm a well traveled food critic, primarily focusing on locally sourced produce that is served in countryside eateries. I've just visited the Gardeners Kitchen Restaurant, at Green Pastures Plant Centre & Farm Shop in Alpington, Norfolk. I waited to be seated which was as expected. I was given a food menu to only find out after I'd sat down that I couldn't actually order anything from the menu after 2.30pm! There were only cakes on offer which were on the counter. Why on earth was I not told this by the lady who greeted me before I sat down! And why give me a menu that I couldn't actually order off! In addition, I was told to sit down then a server would come and take my order. After waiting a long time for someone to come and take our order, I saw that the servers were all huddled round the counter not taking the slightest interest in a waiting paying customer. Not professional, shoddy customer service! Needless to say I left!

We have to say our afternoon tea at Green Pastures was truly amazing.
Everything on our cake/savoury stand was a taste sensation. We are both vegetarian, (we do eat fish). Although we do eat fish, there were no fish items on our stand, which was no problem because the food was so varied.
Wonderful food/service, what more could you ask for. We would highly recommend Green Pastures. The price is very reasonable too, when compared to another place in the city centre.

Firstly I am so shocked to receive this msg asking to review green pastures farm shop. I never gave my number name anything and I'm interested to know how you have my personal details. Even a picture of the plants we were looking at and purchased.
Secondly we had a roast and it was very overpriced. The meal was very small for the price. My partner had no carrots where I did.
The food was cold apart from the roast potatoes. It took such a long time to receive the meal. We felt there was no organisation and we heard others complaining to themselves as well.
We came away disgusted and very disappointed at what we received for £44.50. We both came home and had to eat.

Green Pastures have a great selection of plants, garden furniture and pots. We'd been searching for an extra large pot for an olive tree and found one here. Michelle was brilliant at arranging delivery arriving with her parents on a holiday weekend - really going the extra mile - and placed the heavy pot on our patio. Friendly service and they give lots of useful planting tips.Could not be more pleased with our pot and Green Pasture customer service.

I came with some friends for afternoon tea today and it was really nice, lovely scone and cakes and plenty of tea and coffee. It was beautifully presented and we had an enjoyable time. My only small disappointment was the lack of sandwich filling choice. I had three conversations about the vegetarians on the phone and established that two would have vegetarian with fish, therefore I was surprised when on the day these became totally vegetarians and there was no fish at all. So the three sandwiches were egg, cheese with cucumber and cheese with onion. This was the only disappointment and everything else was perfect.

brought my Mum for lunch yesterday, after the garden center was recommended by a work colleague. the food was absolutely amazing and all the staff where helpfully and polite. we will definitely come back

Visited for Sunday roast dinner . I had the gf Beef roast. Tender succulent beef with a variety of vegetables and purées. All very tasty and I had gf Yorkshire pudding which was perfect. I had polenta and lime cake , a delicious cake but maybe should have asked for a take home box as it was a very large slice. Will definitely return. Booking advised on a Sunday. Very enjoyable meal and staff friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere then a wander around the garden centre. We didn?t use the farm shop onsite but have in the past stocked with lots of fresh produce and locally sourced meat and cheese etc.
