Been put off to buy a bike. I have been thinking to by a bicycle for some time as I have bought one to my toddler soon for his birthday, so after me browsing online for a few months and getting confused with so many different sizes and offers I have decided to go to a shop and buy one, so I can hopefully show and teach my little one how to ride. So I went to the shop with my soon determined to get a bike for me but after browsing for over 15 min, and having a couple of staff members walking past and ignoring us when we where the only customers in the shop, I decided to just leave the store. I was going to buy this bike in a shop to make sure I get a real persons helping with correct sizes etc, but I now feel like the online robot is giving me better service.

Staff not very helpful on multiple occasions, gave them the benefit of doubt on the first occasion but similar experience again more recently. First occasion I asked if they stocked the bottom bracket of my mountain bike, I didn't even say the brand of bike yet the mechanic said no we don't stock parts for that bike - they didn't even know which bike I had and it was one of the bikes they sell in store!
Phoned recently to ask about a repair on my bike to be carried out, I am unable to drop it off before work as I start work before they open so asked if I could drop it off during my lunch break and collect it 5 hours later and was told no they will be too busy selling bikes to do a small repair in 5 hours!
Edit - I walked past at lunchtime and the shop was empty!
Very bad customer service do not recommend.

It would be a one star review, but to be fair, the staff in the shop are helpful, knowledgable and friendly. If you pick something up and buy it in the shop I?m sure it will be fine. Do not let them order anything for you though. We paid more for delivery than we would online. Which i did as I wanted to make sure it was sorted and would come quickly (I had been told it would be a priority to build it if we ordered on store).
We brought a bike weeks ago. It wasn?t delivered (delivery to store), customer services kept looking into it and trying to find out what happened to it. All they could find out was that it never left the warehouse. So after weeks of going round in circles they will only offer a refund. Which because I ordered in store, I now have to go into store to collect.

Ordered a bike as I needed a size they didnt currently have in-store, 3 days later it had arrived, been built and I walked it out of the store, couldnt be happier :)
Every member of staff I spoke to seemed to be a genuine cycling enthusiast and were a pleasure to deal with, will definitely be continuing to use the store for my future cycling needs,

Things didn?t get off to a good start when I spent about 7 minutes looking confused in the middle of the shop while two staff members were eating crisps and chatting behind the counter. Luckily, the store manager was working that day and walked from the other end of the shop to help me. It actually took me a matter of minutes to decide on a purchase. I left the bike with the shop for 2 days as I was told the new bike needed some final adjustments to make it roadworthy. I also was told that I needed to wait for a reminder email to return my new bike to the shop for a free 30-day health-check so I left my email and details with a member of staff. I never received the reminder email. Thinking this was an oversight on the shop?s part, I waited longer, but no email arrived. Only by checking the website did I learn that I was meant to just turn-up with the bike without notification ? by which time, the 30-day deadline had passed. A few weeks later I decided to take my bike to a specialist to adjust choppy and delayed gear changes, but he found a number of additional issues, including loose bolts, loose cables, and tyres not at full pressure. It was obvious none of the post-purchase adjustments were made, and the bike was ?sold as seen.? The specialist told me that some of these neglected adjustments would have eventually led to long-term and expensive repairs later. I?m sorry if my presence in your Norwich store disrupted your eating and chatting time, or the fact that the only person working that day was the store manager. But bikes should not be sold as seen, and neither should customers be left out of a maintenance and health-check loop which requires them to make their own arrangements at their own cost. The service I received here speaks volumes about how not to run a business.

I just wanted to share a quick note about my experience at Evans Cycles today. I went in for a minor issue that I couldn?t resolve on my own, and I was fortunate enough to be assisted by Camlo. I must say, the customer service I received was fantastic. Camlo was extremely helpful and made sure that my request was taken seriously, without making me feel silly for needing help with a small matter. It was a pleasant and efficient visit, and I left the store feeling very satisfied. Kudos to Camlo for their excellent service!

Withheld from writing this review but went in for a puncture repair last summer and they poorly fixed my puncture as it deflated the very next day. They also quoted me £140 charge to get my bike chain fixed (I double checked if it was just the broken clasp on the chain link that needed to be fixed and they confirmed.) at the time I thought it was a rip off so I didn?t follow through. Now my chain has finally broken I was able to get it fixed for under £30 as all it needed was just a new chain. do not go to this store! overcharging

Ben was a superstar today, i unfortunately broke my bike a while back and he?s helped me find the best gravel/ road bike for the money as well as building it the same day! Really appreciate the time and effort he?s put in. Legend ?

Bought a child's mountain bike and helmet and was served by Camlo who was helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Both staff members in the shop were fab and great at communicating with me and my son. Received expert advice, recommendations and service.

Honestly the worst bike shop you could go to. You can be speaking to a staff member and they will just wonder off mid conversation to help someone else. I am also disgusted by their online store. I only ordered a light and pedals and they couldnt even manage to send both. Safe to say I will never be purchasing anything from here again.

Substandard on almost every level, other than selection of gear and prices. Inconsistent with advice. Their computer system is ancient, so if someone gives you wrong/poor advice there's no accountability or audit trail. Store manager laughably inept and antagonistic. The few helpful members of staff unable to do much without management approval. It was never amazing, but it was convenient and fit for purpose under previous management.
