“I visited Home Bargains this evening, March 15th, in search of a specific lock I thought I had seen during a previous trip. Although I couldn't find the lock, I was intrigued by a tin of Princess boneless skinless mackerel priced at 69p. Since I had never encountered this brand for less than £1 before, I quickly decided to grab three tins.

However, I was taken aback when the checkout total came to £1.19 per tin. I questioned the price discrepancy but expressed my willingness to pay the adjusted amount. I kindly asked cashier to check that my eyes weren't misleading me. A supervisor arrived a couple of minutes later and confirmed that the items were incorrectly placed.

To my surprise, she promptly refunded me the difference, even though I was ready to pay the full price, recognizing it was clearly an honest mistake.

That being said, the employee I spoke to (I believe Ian) was outstanding. I'm getting married in August and had purchased three of the four groomsman suits.when ordering the final suit online, the fourth one suddenly didn't have trousers so I ordered the jacket and waistcoat and headed to Next. They had it in stock but they couldn't sell it due to a business-wide manufacturing issue with that product and I may need to wait months before they're re-issued. I was absolutely devastated. Honestly, the way Ian apologised and 'had to let me down' was very professional and genuine and I appreciated it. He immediately dashed off an email to customer services and called back within half an hour and informed me I could come back and pick the trousers up. I was over the moon and it saved me an enormous amount of hassle around the wedding. To all the staff that helped me, and especially Ian, thank you.”

“Come here every week and usually don't have any problems, sometimes their shelves can be empty of certain items which can be rather frustrating and they don't always have fresh fruit and vegetables available later on in the day. They also change the layout and move things around the store randomly which is a further frustration.”
