Great service.The manageress there is Lovely and helped me and mum to a standard that was above and beyond! Chelmsford branch are corrupt and haven't helped mum in years after losing almost £30.000 yet manageress of Norwich branch was excellent. Had me put on mum's account for safety and ordered new cards (haven't arrived yet but) my experience of cooperative bank was it's just crap,but she changed my opinion (of Norwich branch) at least. Thank you and we will be back despite moving now! Great lady ;)

I was told by the online banking service to contact my local branch but was not given a direct number. I waited 24 minutes for my call to the helpline to be answered and was given the number of my branch. I rang three times, no one answered and there was no facility to leave a message. A piss poor service!

Horrendous experience to talk to someone via phone. I waited at least 20 for an answer and even then they couldn't hear me. Please get telephone operators with english as their first language!
I now have to go to Norwich 80 miles to get my signature confirmed so i can link to my xero account.

Mixed views on customer service....
Recently tried to contact the fraud line about suspect transactions on my on line account. Three calls on separate occasions...went through all I.d. checks (about 5 minutes each time). Always a thirty minute delay quoted before I could be dealt with. Bear in mind these calls are chargeable!
Gave up and on spec went to my local (and only) branch in Norwich.
Didn't hold out much hope as other banks usually need an appointment for these things and often don't deal with on line stuff.
Pleasantly surprised and greatly relieved to be seen straight away by the lovely Louise who dealt with the problem quickly and efficiently to my entire satisfaction.

Waiting times for customer service have always been too long for me (20 mins+), banking app is old fashioned,.can't pay in cheques or see transactions in real time like some other banks and if you want to pay a bill tomorrow night you can't online. You can't with Mobile banking and you cant with telephone banking due to an update. Too many updates for no apparent reason with no consideration for the needs of customers. It's not good enough.

I have tried on and off for most of the day, to contact you by phone, to cancel a planned appointment tomorrow. All I get after 2 minutes, is that there is no one available and try again later.This is now later, much later, and still no one answers. I suppose it will be my fault for not attending an appointment, that I cannot attend. I am more than a little disappointment with your lack of contact, by phone. Disappointed.

ive been with norwich co .op bank..since 2012...a great bank.and very good customer service. and lovely friendly staff.i will be very sad if it close down

Shocking waiting times for phone banking of at least 50 minutes seem to have reduced lately but still at least 20 minutes. My card has just been stopped again for no apparent reason for two minor online orders. The nearest branch is 30 miles away ( Ipswich)Just used the card successfully for a few grocery items in a tiny local convenience shop. As I rely very much on online ordering for almost everything, this sort of thing is intensely annoying. The fear of fraud seems unusually extreme.essentialethical

And the headache continues. Switch has been reset because of co-ops fault, support useless on Facebook, phone and through online banking. Wont get things resolved now because of new year no doubt, and switch will take yet another fortnight I suppose. The organisation, communication and support is a joke, quite frankly. I would try and get in to a branch but would no doubt be a wasted trip.

I?ve been with the co op bank for over 15 years and their customer service has got worse year on year. They blocked an online transaction twice so I phoned. It took over an hour to speak to someone, the agent said she could put is a new password for me so I can try to make the transaction again but she could not make the payment for me. And I waited an hour for that, not good enough

I travelled from Cromer to Norwich to use this bank but found it closed due to recent changes in opening hours although this has now been corrected on their website I still had to inform and update this information on Google !!! one of the largest search engines on the web.
