One goes there not for the comfort, but for sake of the people, one meets. Every of three times I was there, I talked to people who beamed a feeling of affinity springing from a special character of the place. If you are in the vcinity, drop in. One can reach the place in many ways ? consult your map any guide book. Take care in winter. In the summer one can try descending Observatory Gully (not through Gardeloo) from Ben Nevis.

Incredible experience staying the night here at the foot of the mountain. The views from here are gorgeous especially in the evening. It's also exciting staying in a mountain hut all by yourselves. I visited here with a friend and we climbed Ben Nevis the morning after by going across the ridge.The hut itself has everything to prepare you for your journey: fresh water, efficient gas heating, a modern kitchen, a drying room, and a serene landscape around.

Always lovely walk to the CIC hut, I walked there many many times in different weather conditions, path is very good, river crossing might be a hassle when in spate, Easy walk all the way :) views amazing in any weather :)
