My sister and I came in for a coffee, as we usually do.
However, we were unfortunate enough to be served by Rob.
If you're looking to be served by a snotty, uptight, unprofessional, person this is the place to go.
For context, I asked for an oat amaretto latte. He asked if I were vegan, to which I said no. He picked up a topping and I said I'm dairy free, however he had already put the topping on. Rather than addressing the issue he looked at me, gave me stank eyes and sassily poured it out in the sink and slammed a new mug on the side.
Not only did this make me uncomfortable but it also made the customer next to be uncomfortable as she looked at me and pulled a distressed face.
This isn't the first time we've experienced Rob's unprofessional attitude. Previously, myself and sister have asked for oat lattes but he failed to make them with oat. When we asked if he could confirm whether they're oat, without saying anything he picked the drinks up and slammed them in the sink infront of us.
I understand customer isn't always right and working in hospitality can be stressful, but perhaps an office job away from the public would suit him better as I guarantee Nero have lost customers due to this individual.
Despite this, all the other servers have always been so lovely, especially Jacob and the female with sandy blonde hair with glasses.

My wife asked for a cappuccino & got a Latte,the women was talking while serving, got it wrong & pulled a face to make out my wife said Latte.finally got the cappuccino, was asked if she would like chocolate on top,asked for chocolate got cinnamon, shocking service,we will not be returning.

Great location, lovely coffee and friendly staff. When sunny, it's nice to sit outside with a view of the castle on one side and the market on the other.

We popped in for a takeaway away and having been asked for our order waited much longer than people behind us. We were asked if we wanted choc on our cappuccinos and we said no. They arrived with chocolate and when I pointed it out, the assistant glared at me, said nothing, took the drinks away, took the choc off and gave them back. Such bad/ rude service we won't go back in there!

Often stop in here for coffee and a snack.Parking: 2 minute walk to paid parking (30 min free)Kid-friendliness: Loads of mums in with little ones.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access but can be a bit tricky when place is busy.

super cosy inside great for catching up with friends or getting work done as there are arm chairs, big tables and little tables. Music is usually soothing jazz and the staff are always super nice!
