I went in with my partner who is a tradie to quickly pick up some buckets on the way to site and the customer service from Jacquie who was vaguely standing around by the tills was horrendous. She was short, rude and sarcastic to my partner for clicking on the self-service screen when it said ?click to use trade card?. She spoke to him like an idiot. That?s no way to treat customers. She was also incredibly rude to a lady who was picking up some material on behalf of her partner, initially refusing to let her use her partners trade card. As the partner of a tradie myself - I am always expected to run and grab supplies so he can keep on working. To have no mechanism for partners to pick up on behalf of their partners is poor business practice and I would rather go to another supplier with better customer service. My partner had also been in this B&Q the day before and received poor service. Initially, no one was there for him to pick up his click & collect order that said it was ready. He pressed the bell and waited a long time for anyone to bother turning up. When someone did arrive, it turned out that, despite getting a message to say his order was ready to collect, no one had bothered to go and get the item ready.General poor service all round.

Two weeks ago today, I lost a personal item in store. I found a member of staff straight away, explained what had happened and he took my details. He said he would let me know either way if they found it. Four days later I phoned the store having heard nothing, I spoke to another staff member who went and asked. She said the managers knew nothing about it but she would speak to the cleaning team the next day. I've not heard anything since. Have felt really disappointed and upset about not only losing the item as it had sentimental value but also the fact that I don't think anyone in store wanted to help. A phone call would have been much appreciated.

Visited Hall Road B&Q this afternoon, have to mention Richard, what a super helpful member of staff ( unlike the other 4 who stood chatting and watching us push loaded trolleys of plaster board) Richard even came to car park to help me load. Once again Thank u Richard ( customer service could learn a lot from him.)

A bit pricey compared to other hardware stores, but nice to have the diy.con website with catalogue and delivery options

Rude paint lady. Got 0 help from her. She spoke to us like dirt. Went to Kent Blaxill and they were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, go to them instead.

Nice, big, clean store but not enough staff. Didn't have what I wanted but parking is free and plenty of it.

The worst B&Q do not go here. The staff don?t know anything, are they trained at all?? They don?t know their products and they don?t know how to use the tills?? And why are the self serve tills not open??. The older women in this B&Q are sooo rude too, all standing round talking and annoyed when you ask them for help, these older ladies especially need training in products and tills and they need to learn manners and not treat me like a second class citizen it was a horrible experience.
