Do not usually shop here but was close and needed a few things. First went to the fruit and veg. A half rotten, yes really putrifying, red pepper and the quality of the strawberries awfully. Left without purchasing anything but of course as the trolly didn't go through the checkout it locked. We just left it. A female security person who certainly had not been to charm school just said 'didnt go through till'. We ignored and walked.
Or reasons for not shopping there usually were confirmed.

If I could give negative stars I would! On the 13/10/2023 I received an Asda delivery of £133.85 worth of products. In that order were 2 bottles of bleach, 1 had broken open and covered my shopping. The delivery driver refused to take it back and said I should request a refund online. I did and I either got ignored or told I had to wait as they were waiting on their insurance company to get back to them. As you can see in the photos, the bleach damaged clothes we were wearing, towels and my patio. To this day I've not received any refund.

I don?t usually leave reviews, but this car park was beyond frustrating. The way people park here is absolutely ridiculous. Cars were parked so badly mostly at diagonal angles that it made it impossible for me to even get into a spot, let alone maneuver my car safely. It?s like no one has ever heard of parking within the lines.
There seems to be zero enforcement or layout planning, and as a result, drivers just park wherever and however they want. It felt more like dodging obstacles than using a proper parking facility. I ended up leaving without parking because there was literally no way to fit in without risking damage to my car.
This place seriously needs better management or clearer markings something to stop this chaotic free-for-all.
Thank you for the amazing parking VW Golf . You get a thumbs up, keep it up

£60 fine for parking in what used to be the ASDA overflow car park. Terrible signage if that is the case. One sign still points one way saying overflow. Then another small sign with lots of lines of text which I assume mentions Holiday Inn in tiny writing

ASDA Superstore ? Drayton High Road, Norwich NR6 5DT
I would give 0 start if was available!
Unfortunately, I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this ASDA store ? not once, but multiple times.
On several occasions, I have been treated with rudeness and hostility by one of the security guards, especially near closing time. Even when I entered the store well before midnight and completed my shopping quickly, I was aggressively told to ?go pay now,? followed closely and made to feel like I was doing something wrong ? simply for shopping within the allowed hours.
On July 8th, I completed my purchase at exactly 11:56 PM, as confirmed by my receipt, bank statement, and iPhone. Still, I was confronted again, followed unnecessarily, and even told I would be banned from the store ? despite doing absolutely nothing wrong.
When I asked how to file a complaint, the security guard had the front door locked via radio, and I was forced to exit through another door. That kind of behavior is not only unprofessional ? it felt intentionally humiliating.
Several staff members also told me, ?We?re not paid after midnight,? which made me feel guilty and uncomfortable, even though I always completed my shopping before the official closing time. I?ve never had this kind of experience in any other UK supermarket.
The way he treated me made me feel like a criminal ? like I was being watched, followed, and pressured simply for trying to buy basic items for my children. I felt targeted, humiliated, and completely disrespected. What hurt even more was that there were other customers still shopping and paying at the same time ? yet he said nothing to them. He didn?t follow them. He didn?t pressure them. He came straight to me. It felt personal, as if I had been singled out and marked. I was shaking with anxiety as I left the store. That kind of treatment strips you of your dignity. No one deserves to feel that way, especially not in a supermarket.
After reading the other negative reviews here on Google, I now understand that I?m not the first person to go through this kind of awful, humiliating and public experience. It seems to be a common attitude among ASDA staff ? as most of the recent reviews mention rude and aggressive behaviour. I thought ASDA was losing one customer today, but clearly, they?ve already lost many ? and will keep losing more. These reviews go back months, and yet nothing has changed.
I will also be filing a formal complaint, because I will not allow anyone to treat me like that ? and I?m speaking up not only for myself, but for others who may not know how to stand up for themselves. No one should ever have to go through something so humiliating and degrading while doing something as simple as grocery shopping. This felt like I was being targeted, maybe because I?m a woman, or maybe because I?m not British. Whatever the reason, it?s unacceptable.

I spent the last week browsing Facebook and Gumtree in search of a reasonably priced smart TV for a bedroom. Unfortunately, most of my inquiries for more information or to check if the items were still available either went unanswered or took too long to get a response. Frustrated, I decided to drive to my local Asda, where I found a Roku smart TV for £179, just a little more than some of the basic used options on Gumtree and Facebook. It?s surprising what people like me go through just to save a few pounds! My entire experience at Asda, from leaving my house to returning, took less than 30 minutes, and I also enjoyed the peace of mind that comes with a 12-month warranty.

Click and collect service is POOR! Checked in online and still no-one came out for 20 minutes. Ended up calling the general asda phone line for them to call the store and get them to send someone out.

I used to come to this Asda frequently, but the staff always seemed rude and unfriendly, as if they hadn?t received proper training. I stopped coming for about six months and recently visited again to see if anything had improved, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and improves customer service because, at this rate, I don?t see myself coming back.

Very disappointed with their service. I was there on Wednesday 15th January 2025 at about 3.30pm when I came to the checkout. Only 1 checkout was operating and there was 6 people with full trolleys in line. Thus I had to go to the self service checkout. I am disabled and use a walking stick, I can not stand long on my legs as I'm in acute pain all the time, even while on strong pain killers. The ladies at the self service checkout seen my situation and when I asked why only one checkout operating I was told they short staffed. They seen I could not walk or stand yet no assistance offered. Had I not needed the things in my trolley I would have walked out. It took me over 20 min to scan and bag my things while leaning on the counter , still no help offered.
Why is no assistance offered to disabled customers. Why was the staff so inconsiderate to disabled people, worst customer service foe a retail store. Don't think I will use them again. They made me feel so hopeless and violated my dignity with been judged by other customers on my posture leaning on the counter and trolley to scan my purchases.
Shame on you Asda

Went to Asda today to do a little shopping we wanted a pizza made stood around waiting asked member of staff if there was anyone about to make a pizza to be told on lunch break so wandered round shop came back still no staff no sign saying gone to lunch then another member of staff told us this was closed so had to purchase a pizza which was already made but not with what we wanted. A simple sign to say it was closed would have been nice instead of hanging around for over 45mins then left shop not happy with service

I was 25 years old when i entered Asda Drayton Rd. After being served by ROBERT i was 65 years old. Bless him i know hes old BUT too old to be on a till. Having a long conversation about frozen peas is not advisable when you have a ten mile queue at his till

The store, in general, has a good variety of stock at reasonable prices. Some of the staff are helpful and friendly, particularly those on the shop floor. I've always been treated with civility and a genuinely helpful attitude.
A word of caution, though, should you approach the gaggle of crones that gather by the self-service tills. There was a discarded gift card at the till that I intended to use and decided to hand it to a member of staff. As I approached one of the members of staff, with the gift card in hand, I was told immediately and with a hint of venom, that "I would just have to wait". I did, in fact, have to do nothing and didn't bother to try to engage with her again. I was, simply, trying to help and not deserving of her vitriol. She was slim and probably in her fifties, with dyed black hair and wearing a red jumper. I have had a similarly unpleasant experience with another of the coven, some months earlier.
I was helped by a younger, male member of staff (on my latest visit) when the till was misbehaving. He tried to justify her behaviour with the fact that they were very busy. They were very busy (it was New Year's eve), as I was on Boxing day, in a customer facing role. However, I didn't let that fact impair my capacity to be civil and polite to all of the customers that I served.
In short, shop good, most staff helpful and an aura of malevolence by the self-service tills. Good luck to all who venture within.
