Mar 24 Another great two day break here. The private sauna makes a stay here really special for me and the Spa treatments were great too according to my partner. Made good use of the fireplace once again in distinctly chilly weather. On the restaurant side it was a mixed picture: food service not coping and making mistakes on one night but just the opposite on the other. Breakfast both generous and good. It's nice to get beans in a little pot rather than mingled with everything else on the plate. Interesting Haddock smokey worth a try if you like cheese.Mar22 This is both a busy food pub and small hotel with rooms that include, for example, a sauna and bath in a glass enclosed area which leads on to a private patio with outside fireplace. Ample firewood is provided and one can sit out in bitterly cold weather yet being fairly comfortable, wrapped in a thoughtfully provided wool blanket, enjoying a crackling fire gazing northeast at the stars above.Food wise it's pub food but some menu items are more than that. The pig theme is everywhere without being sty fling. We will return... LookRooms: Well equipped rustic styling. Private bath and sauna a plus. Blue tooth audio a nice thing to have. Fresh milk in fridge in corridor.

Sorry but a non eventful experience for us, two of us shared a pig event, pork thinly sliced and extremely fatty veg warm Yorkshire pudding cold heaps of red cabbage, and just a poor take on a below average roast dinner, costing £50. Waitress rude and lacking in customer service skills. No staff said goodbye, won?t be coming back.

Eaten here many times as live 10 miles away so decided to book a birthday getaway night.Spotlessly clean, wonderful good quality furnishings.Fantastic bath for 2 and indoor sauna. Bit too cold to sit outside.Downside is the lack of tea/coffee quality. Standard tea bags but with the emphasis on relaxation and holistic wellbeing they should provide organic herbal teabags to fit in with the aura. Sadly it was a big letdown which put a mar on my stay, please work on this please as missed my evening and morning herbal teas.

We didn't stay in a bedroom but we used the spa garden. The whole experience wasn't like a half day spa I have before. We had the spa to ourselves, processo, hot tub, loungers and a very chilled time. No sharing steam room with some random sweaty person. After our treatments we then had lunch in the restaurant which was really good. I thought we'd get offered a light lunch as part of the deal but it wasn't like that at all. We ate what we wanted from the normal menu. Great value and thoroughly enjoyable.

I had the most AWFUL experience here!!!It was my wedding night, we got married at The Reading Rooms that day. I called The Pigs a week before and explained that we will be coming to the room late - 12am, which they said it was fine and will organise for someone to give us a key. We got to the The Pigs and no one was there. We then realised that there are no staff on but just a few telephone numbers. We called all three numbers and no answer. We kept calling and an hour and half later, Someone picked up that had clearly been asleep. They said they are leaving from home so will be with us within 20 minutes. She arrived and gave us a key to our room and left. When going into our room, there were towels on the floor, half filled champagne flutes in the sauna / bath area and I had to clean the bath out because it was dirty and clearly been used, then bed hadn?t been made either. By this point it was gone 2am in the morning and all we wanted to do was sleep. This was my wedding night!I later contacted The Pigs and explained? and to cut it short their response was ? it?s your word against ours regarding the room not being cleaned! Even though I explained there were no staff on that night and no where else for us to go as it was 2am. All we got was an apology for the ?miss communication? of key not being available and a £50 refund for the deposit. We booked this accommodation because we had heard nothing but nice things. From the experience of our wedding night and the lack of professionalism and understanding from staff who I spoke to, I will never ever visit or recommend this place ever again! It completely ruined our wedding night, something I will never be able to have back again!

Had a wonderfully relaxing 48 hours at this great place. The whole experience was excellent. The pub, rooms and spa are all decorated beautifully. The staff are friendly and always there without being overly attentive. The breakfast was spectacular.Rooms: Decorated really imaginatively with everyone one could need. Fridge very useful, quality products in the beautiful bathroom, very practical flooring considering the outdoor spa.Noteworthy details: Set in a pretty quiet location by the side of a road. A little cut off from anything else of note and the local village has little to offer so it feels a car is necessary to get to the other lovely places in the area, of which there are many

Set between Norwich and Holt The Pigs is situated in a little hamlet called Edgefield lays The Pigs Pub and Spa Rooms.Decided to book a meal and room for my wife's 50th birthday and although we'd been before it did not disappoint in anyway.Warmly greeted by a member of staff we were shown to our table. Within 10 minutes of sitting down we'd been asked whether we'd like drinks and these were quickly brought to usThey took our food orders and the starters soon arrived and they were absolutely delicious! I plumbed for the hot smoked salmon, crushed cucumber, with a dill cream on sourdough toast. My wife went for a black pudding scotch egg and Colman's Mustard. Other members of party went for similar. Our mains were superb! I went for a chicken, bacon and.leek pie with mash, peas and gravy and my wife went for the pigs house salad. Others went for the proper roasts and fish chips. The portion sides were huge!Did we have room for dessert? Just about!. Decided to go for the help yourself dessert table. It did not disappoint that's for sure. So many different desserts all in small bites but filling! The rule is finish your plate before you go back up.In total with our Norfolk Passport discount of 10% was £188 which for 6 people who had drinks, starters, mains, and desserts represented very good valueWe said good bye to rest of the party and decided to check into our original spa room. The staff were polite and friendly. We stayed in Room #4 and it was spacious, the bed was huge and comfortable. A massive 55" TV which came with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube plus all your standard channels. We made full use of the facilities such as a drench shower, sauna, fire pit, outside bath with TV.It came with Tea & Coffee making facilities as well as towels, dressing gowns, and slippers. Oh, and a hair dry too.You can also order room service if you don't fancy leaving your room. We ordered a cheeseboard which was also delicious.Breakfast was included in the price and again this was a help yourself table and then you could order from the menu. I went for the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on sourdough toast and my wife went for the 15 mile breakfast. Both of which were delicious. In total our room again with 10% Norfolk Passport discount came to £229 which is amazing value from for money in my opinion.I would definitely recommend paying the pub for food and staying overnight for a special occasion. The staff are incredibly polite and work like a well oiled machine too.Thank you to everyone for making our stay both a good and memorable one
