We booked to come for the 2 for £22 Tuesday night special at 7.30, unfortunately we came on the same night as the quiz.
The food was lovely, but because there was only 1 serving behind the bar, we were a bit neglected. We couldn't order a dessert as no one came to offer us 1, as it was too late, because the young lady was behind the bar on her own, serving the people at the quiz!!
We can't fault the young lady, she was lovely and very apologetic and even took our drinks off the bill, which we appreciated.
For future reference you need to consider putting more staff on, especially if you're still serving food along side a quiz.

Called in for an Ad-Hoc Sunday roast with my mother after a trying afternoon and left fully relaxed having really enjoyed the roast beef with a little extra cream purified cauliflower cheese, different, never had it before, we both fully enjoyed the meal with a cheeky chocolate brownie to polish it off!

We had gluten and dairy free fish and chips on Bank holiday Monday, what an absolute treat they were delicious, and very friendly staff too.

The price for food is ridiculous for a small village. Not to mentions the food was gross, the old pub owners food was so much better, they didn't make simple food complex. When you order mashed potato with your food you expect potatoes that are mashed only. Not mixed with bacon, onion and leek. Never ever going there again. Such a shame.

We took a risk with the new kitchen on their first weekend and booked ourselves in for Sunday lunch. There were 8 of us and all came away happy and content. They certainly have hit the ground running.
I took advantage of the 2 course deal for £21 and shared the starter with my wife. Nothing was too much for the staff giving us enough attention without crowding us.
Now looking for an excuse for the next occasion so we can eat there again. Hats off Great stuff

Lovely place to go. We had Christmas eve dinner here. The staff as usual were lovely. The food was very good . As we're the choice of beers.worth swinging by to the village.
