Be it a breakfast roll and a cup of tea, still needs to be right. It was in all aspects. Thank you.

We went to The Angel last night at the recommendation of friends who came with us to share the evening, having enjoyed the platters so much on a prior occasion. We were able to enjoy our evening at a secluded table at the back of the pub, enabling us to chat freely. We had pre ordered a fish and meat platter..When Frank brought out the platter we were amazed at the superb presentation and quantity of superb food. We have enjoyed many platters during our travels but this far exceeded our expectations. Frank then proceeded to explain the local source of each item. He then brought out warm, home made sour dough rolls in the shape of an ear or wheat ro break off and enjoy with the platter. We had chosen the fish selection, every item was absolutely delicious! We accompanied the meal with crafted beer, wine and gin, all excellent. Service was super friendly and excellent. We highly recommend!, not to be missed.

We are a small group of cyclists who regularly stop at the Angel. The service is excellent, the coffee is great and the cakes and scones are delicious. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious food. Everything fresh, well chosen and (I presume) locally sourced. Fish certainly was.
I had cheese ploughman's. The best one I've ever had.

A visit to Loddon High Street for us is not complete without a treat at the Angel. The welcome is always warm and the coffee's are excellent. If it's an afternoon visit we enjoy choosing a beer from the ever changing ales on offer.

Absolutely superb pub in a beautiful village, the bar has a great atmosphere with locals and tourists alike, the whole village is so friendly that we are seriously contemplating relocating there, the food and beers are breathtaking, hats off the the landlady and landlord, they are very welcoming.

We had a lovely breakfast at the Angel Inn, Loddon. We went for the build your own breakfast option, which allows you to pick as many of each item as you like, customising it based on preferences and hunger levels. All meats are locally sourced and of high quality. All breads are made in house. The pub itself is comfortable and quickly with different seating options throughout. Jo looked after us well. Would recommend!

Our second visit here & there will certainly be more. Lovely old building, Jo & her family/team are all relaxed, chatty & welcoming. If you like dark real ales then 'The Professor' is for you. Alternatively there are plenty of others & even wines from their own vineyard!
My best word to describe the food is 'exquisite'. I went for the 'build-your-own-breakfast' all-day menu. Bacon, sausage, egg all locally sourced & with the tastiest home-made bread I've had for ages. I'm not a black pudding fan usually but I listened to advice & their version proved to be the best bit of what was already an excellent meal. There is a special reason as to why it stands out ... but ask them to explain it to you.
Not huge portions admittedly but quite literally every mouthful was bursting with flavour. I filled up with a large slab of home-made cake then settled back with a lovely latte, feeling relaxed & full.
Sue similarly enjoyed her meal, so thanks Jo, we'll be back.

Loddon is very lucky to have such a nice place local to them. The Angel offers a kind, welcoming atmosphere with friendly owners who are always up for a chat and obviously love what they do. They are passionate about the food when they talk you through where everything comes from. Best part is everything is local so it spreads the supporting local economy.
It is a very accommodating place if you have any allergies or preferences they will listen to you. Looking forward to seeing what more they do with the place!

Really excellent food & great service. The interior has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Very clean & comfortable with a wide selection of local beers ( also non alcoholic beverages ). All the food is also sourced locally. They don't serve hot food perse, but do light bites such as bacon baps, etc.
The owners & the stuff are very courteous & extremely helpful.
A hostelry I certainly will be returning too & can definitely recommend.
