My husband had my wedding ring resized here. I am so thrilled with it. You can?t tell that it?s been repaired and resized. Cannot rate them high enough. Looks brand new, and that?s saying something for a 25 year old wedding ring. I am so happy to have it back on my finger.

On 22.8.23, I took my eternity ring and an engagement ring to be repaired. I had lost one small diamond in the eternity ring and a claw needed to be retopped on the other. The rings were sent to the workshop for a price for repair. We were advised by telephone a week later, that the cost of the repair would be £500 for both as there was another diamond that was cracked in the eternity ring. We agreed to the repair and paid a £300 deposit. We were finally able to pick them up on 11th October! Strangely, Mr Aucker's wife asked us how much we were expecting to pay, then advised us that the cost was now £500 for the eternity ring as apparently TWO diamonds were cracked and another £170.00 for the other ring. We obviously questioned this, so she went out the back of the shop to discuss the matter with her husband. She returned saying the dearer price was correct and unless we paid, she couldn't let me have the rings. (Let's not forget they also had £300.00 of our money!) Mr Aucker did not put in an appearance.. She eventually agreed to letting me have 1 ring if we paid the residual £200.00, until they had spoken to the original assistant who had served us. This was unsatisfactory so we reluctantly paid the £370.00 balance. We have subsequently had a telephone conversation stating they are right and we are wrong. I will NEVER use this shop again. If you do, I stronly recommend getting a written quote1st!

I left my wedding ring to be polished with another ring to be repaired. I had to leave £250 deposit half of the cost. It took a month before they rang me to say both rings were ready for collection. I was pleased with both of them, but when my granddaughter looked at my wedding ring she noticed a patch had been missed. I took it back to the shop after just a week, they were very defensive and asked if I had been on holiday and could have scratched it on the side of the pool whilst getting out! I assured them I hadn't been on holiday. Reluctantly they said they would send it back to their workshop and see what they had to say. They telephoned me the next day and said my ring was badly scratched and said they would polish it again for an additional cost of £15. They wouldn't accept there was a patch that had not been polished. I wasn't very happy but agreed. After 3 weeks they contacted me and said my ring was ready for collection, when I went to collect it I put it on and it was about 4 sizes too big! I said this is not my ring to the two assistants and they tried to assure me it was. They were very quiet and did not know what to say. So they called the owner and he was very rude and said that was the ring that I bought in, it has got to be my ring, he even asked me had I lost weight in the last 3 weeks! All three of them were the other side of the counter and were very intimidating and tried to make me believe it was my ring. He even asked me did I know the hall mark number of my ring! They said they would telephone the workshop on the Tuesday (this was Saturday) to see what they had to say. I received a telephone call on Tuesday saying the workshop had had a problem and that was not my ring and they would have my ring in their possession the next day. When I went to collect my ring it was my ring but the attitude of the owner was disgusting. He denied that he asked me if I had lost weight in one week, he did not apologise until I prompted him. I asked the assistant to confirm he did say that, she said yes and he shouted her down. He continued to argue with me shouting that he wouldn't charge me £15 and there would not be any compensation of even a bunch of flowers to apolgise for the experience they had put me through. Wedding rings are very sentimental and they tried to give me another ladies ring. I would never use this shop again. Their customer service is nil. He finished the conversation by saying this is the end of the conversation and walked away into the back of the shop. I certainly won't be going back there again.

Commissioned a new wedding ring to be made out of my grandmothers old wedding ring. I was very specific in what I wanted. I asked for my ring plus my grandmothers remodelled ring to be set with claw set diamonds of a similar size to those in my engagement ring so I could wear them all as a set. The receipt I received for the hefty deposit confirms I asked for claw set diamonds. When I went to collect the rings I was so disappointed I cried. The rings were both set with flat set tiny diamonds, nothing like those in my engagement ring. When I bought this up I was given a number of excuses and told that I could have slightly larger diamonds but it would cost an additional £500-£1000 on top of the £1500 I had already paid. My wedding rings are ruined and I no longer wear them. My grandmothers ring was of great sentimental value. I didn?t get what I had commissioned despite paying a large sum to have the rings remodelled. I wasn?t even told that the design had been changed I only found out when I went to pick them up. So unhappy with the service I received. I?m now saving up to take the rings to another jeweller to have then redone how I asked for originally. Requests for a full or partial refund because my instructions had been ignored were met with a refusal. I?ll never use this jeweller again.

I used David Auker Jewellers as I was recommended them by a friend as I wanted some bespoke jewellery made for me and my daughter, I am really happy with what they made for me. They kept in contact with me the whole way through and also kept me in the loop with the progress and if I was happy. I would use them again and I highly recommend them.

We originally visited David to ask advice about protecting a family ring that had been given to us to be my wedding ring, he was recommended by a gentleman who had David make a medieval replica of a chain of office, as soon as we met him we were bowled over by his enthusiasm, friendliness and knowledge, both myself and my partner wanted him to be the man to design and make my engagement ring.I?m so happy I can?t even begin to do him and his ring justice in this review, the ring is perfect, the talent and care David has shown in the past month has been second to none.
