Nice room. Fantastic location. Staff seemed stressed, it was really busy, they did well. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you are vegan, one choice on the whole menu: mushroom burger, not a burger, pieces of crispy mushrooms in a rock hard gluten free bun. Mushrooms were tasty but not meant to be in any bun. Also vegans tend to like vegetables, none on offer apart from chips, granted they were delicious.
We stayed and it was good when the floodlights were switched off outside the room so we could sleep. Loud music and chatting from kitchen at 7am was a bit weird.

Stopped for coffee while visiting Cley. Sat outside with a great view across the reeds. Came here during Covid times also. High recommend.

Lacks a view, due to sea wall, but well located next to great walks. A bit expensive too.

We had a lovely lunch at the George & Dragon in Cley.
Nice seating just across the street.
Lovely friendly staff.
nb: If you order the olives, which are huge and delicious, just be aware that they are spicy, but don't look it!

4 nights in July 25. Travelled down for a wedding from Durham. Found the accommodation to be a lovely, traditional country hotel.
The rooms are spotless with comfortable beds. We were looked after brilliantly by the very helpful, friendly staff. Cannot speak too highly of them. We spoke at length to Cara, David, Aiden and Scarlet as well as other staff members who could not have been more helpful. Visit and enjoy!!

The best vegetarian burger (oyster mushroom fried) in north norfolk hands down, lots of tables outside for nice weather

Walked from Blakeney around coast path, very hot sunny day, stopped here for a pint before walking back, staff weren't overly welcoming so purchased 4 beers and sat across the road, won't rush back, beer was good though.

Initially the bar men said they?d stopped serving food at 8pm but they squeezed us in. Pie was great and service was too.

Had a one night stay whilst walking the Norfolk Coast path. The village of Cley is a sleepy, beautiful picture postcard place with wonderful looking buildings, some of Dutch influence. This large pub is in an equally lovely building that faces the salt marshes. I had a lovely welcome pint in the bar on arrival after a day's walking. My room was nice and clean and I had great breakfast the next day. My only gripe, and I have never seen this in any accommodation before, was that the room had no wardrobe or hangers to hang my clothes on to take the creases out overnight...a bit weird. Were it not for that I would have given 5 stars.
