The practice has a very large totality accessible car park very close to the main practice recreation area with a few additional Disabled parking spaces at the main entrance ?It also has a separate pharmacy at the entrance door .Main recreation just inside with toilet facilities close by.I found the reception staff to be helpful you do have the opportunity to do self check in.There are three main waiting areas leading off to the several Doctors in different consultation rooms .It?s is strongly advised to pre book your appointment by calling the main reception desk well in advance ?

Had an appointment yesterday. Got to see the person 20/25 minutes late. No apology, which I thought was quite rude and poor. Explained I had another appointment which I was running late for so hoped this wouldn?t take long. She then advised I didn?t need the appointment!! What a total waste of my time in going to the surgery! Was it beyond somebody?s capability to not realise this before and advise me?? I see regular information about missed apps, costs etc. Maybe the surgery needs to take its own advice! I had always been very satisfied with the service I received and the staff who I saw were always polite, friendly and professional, not yesterday though. Recently experiences have been poor I am sorry to say.

We have just joined Holt Medical Practice after relocating from Essex- Fantastic Service!!!During our first visit we had a new patient review, 1 GP appointment & flu jabs.Everyone we met greeted us with smiles & were so pleasant & engaging.Everywhere was spotless & it had a calming environment.My husband has been struggling with a health problem for 2 years without much positive progression. Following his GP appointment at Holt Medical Practice he said he actually felt like he had been listened to for the first time.Thank you to everyone at Holt Medical Practice, your service is wonderful & refreshing.

This is about the only time I can give as many as 3stars for this surgery. It was for a COVID and flu jab. On this occasion the staff and medics were efficient and friendly. However, volunteers were stationed outside who thought they controlled the world in their high Vis jackets. Totally unnecessary.

Saw Dr Irani this afternoon straight away after a phone chat. Lovely lady & made me feel OK about my problem. Also the receptionist was excellent. They are working under such pressure all the time, so praise where praise is due.

The health assistant Jessica at Holt, unfortunately needs some training on empathy and how to talk to patients with health conditions, disabilities and mental health problems without a rude, controlling and dominating manner. Working as a health professional myself, this affects patient?s health, therefore maybe shouldn?t be working in an environment with vulnerable people.

Update!This is still ongoing, and I am no further forward, I have just had two appointments cancelled by the surgery where I was meant to be having a blood pressure monitor fitted for 12 hours.The receptionist who called me asked if I wanted to speak with someone about the cancelled appointments, I said yes and four days on I still haven't had a call.I would like to point out to Katie Franklin that an entry under Missy Moo is my right to patient confidentiality so perhaps one should familiarise oneself with the NHS review policy with regards to GDPR.Also I gave enough information in my review, date time and purpose of appointment. Going through the booking system of the nurse who was sick to see who was booked in for a blood pressure monitor at 8.20 am, on the 4/09/2023 is really not that difficult to identify.This surgery never fails to disappoint.I had called the surgery this morning as I was extremely concerned about my high blood pressure yesterday evening, two high readings of 131/116 and 175/65. Fit and healthy person with rising blood pressure, this has been going on since mid October and my BP is still rising. The attitude of dr Read who called was shocking: rude, dismissive & arrogant. Allegedly these BPs are not of concern. At the beginning of the conversation she stated, it's dr Read as in a book, maybe, I had misspelt her name when I made a complaint against her for writing notes in my medical records, which did not correspondence with what was said in person. She was also quite prompt in saying...If you're not happy, write a letter to the practice manager.

Doctors great but pharmacy needs sorting out.i put my prescription in plenty of time and had to make journeys to finish my repeat prescription.

Visited here today for a cervical screening. The practice was clean and bright and all the staff were friendly. When booking the appointment the receptionist on the phone was very helpful and had a lovely friendly attitude. The nurse who saw me today was also very kind and understanding of my anxieties around my screening and made me really feel calm whilst there
