A truly lovely tea room! The cakes and scones were fresh and delicious, the tea selection was fantastic, and the service was warm and friendly. What makes it extra special is the stunning view ? the perfect backdrop to sit, relax, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Can?t wait to return!

its a wonderful place to grab a bite to eat or just a cake and tea, set in amazing grounds and with amazing views! they had insect nets around the tables outside which made things a little awkward however the staff were amazing and very attentive!

My friends planned a surprise baby shower here for me last year. I have several food allergies so I am a difficult customer! I was amazed by everything they did so I could have a delicious afternoon meal. The effort they put in I will never forget. I did not miss out and they altered all the options to ensure I could have them. The quality and detail was amazing.
Thank you so much!X

I have decided to rate this cafe 2 cheese scones out of 8. The sandwiches were pretty substandard, pappy bread, weird ham hock that tasted of tuna (not sure it wasn't actually tuna) dry fruit scone and worst of all, flavourless cheese scone. The decor was like something out of a middle aged middle class mum's nightmare. Grossly overpriced. The best thing about it was there was a one legged duck that hopped along quite happily with his bipedal bros. Word.

Visited a couple of weeks ago with 2 friends for afternoon tea having booked in advance. On arrival we were informed there was an issue with wasps and were taken to a table outside which had a net around for protection. Despite the net, wasps were still entering. Before the food was served, we asked to move indoors to which the staff did kindly accommodate. Because of the wasps, the windows and doors were being kept closed and it was like a sauna inside. Despite the door being closed at all times after staff and other visitors entered and exited, wasps were still entering and landing on the food.
Although we appreciated the efforts of the staff for being accommodating and doing what they could in the situation, I feel an email or notification should have been sent out prior to our arrival to inform us of the situation and allowing us the option of whether we still wanted to attend or whether we wanted to rearrange. We were told the issue with the wasps had been for the last couple of days and therefore we could have easily been contacted to be informed beforehand. Because of the situation, we felt incredibly rushed as we just wanted to get out into the fresh air which spoilt what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon having driven quite far to visit. I emailed twice following our visit and had no response or acknowledgement. Conveniently you have to pay in advance so they?d already taken our money before the visit. Very poor and disappointing - would not recommend and will not be returning.

Lovely food, lovely team. The price is quite high, but the food was clearly homemade and the location is lovely

We visited here yesterday with our two dogs. We were lucky to get a table as I only phoned 40 mins beforehand to book one. We were also very lucky to have had an afternoon tea as they had a cancellation. The afternoon tea was 10/10- every single item was absolutely delicious. The staff here were incredibly friendly and accommodating too.

Went for my wife's birthday today and had the cream tea and it was exceptional! We had the normal Tea and son had the vegan. He's a fine dining chef and he was impressed with the quality. The waitresses were brilliant, kind, smiley and very attentive.
Highly recommend this place in a beautiful setting

The prices and the food quality don't match. Doesn't taste too fresh and the money spent on 3 people could've paid for two really good wines instead.

Sandwiches were stale. Bread like toast. Most disappointing afternoon tea for five.

Ten stars for this wonderful afternoon tea at The Orangery. Gorgeous venue, with stunning scenery, friendly and welcoming service and absolutely scrummy food. Couldn't think of a more perfect place to celebrate Mum's 75th Birthday. We all had a fab time and enjoyed the afternoon very much. Thank you for looking after us so beautifully - we can't wait to come back.
