One of my favorites of the norfolk coast an older pub and unfortunately one of remaining few that's been un molested by modern times a real gem. Anyone in disagreement doesnt know a real pub!!

We came here to eat while on holiday in Happisburgh. A traditional old pub with character although the food was variable.

A genuinely nice Happisburgh pub, which is fortunate because it?s the only Happisburgh pub.
Rustic and cosy, with friendly owners and full of ancient 16th century charm (albeit it looks as if it hasn?t been redecorated since then).
The location is great. We got some odd looks from the locals, but I?m used to odd looks...
I was a bit taken aback when I ordered a soft drink for my son, only to have the disinterested teenage barman open and hand me a can of coke. But then I guess, what difference does it make; it?s not as if it should be milked from a magic Coke cow instead.
The confusing part; the garden, which has beach views and could be a lovely feature, appears to have been shut off from civilisation for 25 years and allowed to go wild.
It would not be out of place in a zombie apocalypse movie set in a distant future following the collapse of society. Complete with rusting vehicles and hastily abandoned furniture, faded and peeling reminders of the past litter the space, which has slowly been reclaimed by nature in the decades following the demise of Earth?s human population?.

First visit to this pub and I was impressed and the ale was excellent

A novel experience of an olde pub, with good food and in rustic surroundings. Be sure to go to the back of the pub to read the sign about Clive and the challenges they face given the location. This pub is hundreds of years old, somewhat dilapidated, and on an eroding coastline. Good luck to them.

Lovely welcoming, traditional pub, fish and chips was lovely and good size, 4 stars really due to garden could do with improving wanted to sit out for food, but wasn't appealing.

Amazing pub, great if you love a place with history and character.

Friendly staff, the building could do with a bit of a tidy-up standard menu but good

We ate and drank here while staying at the campsite down the road. The staff were very friendly, there was a good range of, well kept, beers and ciders and the food was tasty. Will definitely come back to Happisburgh just to visit this pub. Location is great too, right on the cliff, an easy walk to the lighthouse.
