Easy access polite staff good stock of items needed at good price

I bought a kitchen tap, albeit had to exchange it after a couple of weeks, due to a sticking valve.
Fast forwards 5-yrs, knowing it had a 10-yr guarantee, I took the tap back - having kept the email acknowledgement - but because it had been exchanged, with no new email acknowledgement 5-yes ago, and with old orders being archived - there was a problem. It could not be booked against.
But Charlie the duty manager was absolutely fabulous, ringing up head office, whom arranged a credit note to book to. Charlie went above and beyond - and I thought brilliant - well done

Great service, had an issue with a recently purchased lawnmower, contacted via live chat who sorted a replacement at this store. Dropped the faulty one off, new one handed over with no hassle at all. Excellent.

Very helpful. I usually buy everything online but this time there was a bit of plumbing involved. Much easier getting someone who knows what's what then me trying to guess what will fit to what. Sink and basin now fully plumbed in.

Manager is miserable. I'm a trade customer so use this place a lot and I've never seen him smile. Toolstation is better in my opinion

Terribly bad customer service, I bought 4 motion footlights, spending £70, when my Mrs picked them up for me I asked her to buy a reel of wire to wire the floodlights up, when she asked the counter assistant what to buy he said he couldn't advise as if I electrocuted myself they would be prosecuted, absolute rubbish, I thought it was your job to help your customers total waste of space, people wonder why high street shops are going down the pan, if you can turn down an extra £50 in your till your manager needs shooting, lucky enough Toolstation saved the day and were £5 cheaper, their staff were very helpful, Screwfix you can learn a thing or two from Toolstations staff who will be keeping their jobs in the recession unlike yours!
