I went to Halfords on the Harfrey's Estate in Great Yarmouth today to have a light bulb replaced in a difficult to get to location on my Kia Rio. The man on the reception called a mechanic straight away to see if it could be done easily as it varies from car to car, and he was able to replace the bulb, and at great price of £10.89. I think this is fantastic customer service, I therefore recommend Halfords, and its an easy five stars.

I have nothing but praise for the team at Great Yarmouth. From service/mot through to large and quick jobs, they have always explained the work needed and booked/actioned as soon as parts available. This Halfords autocentre has become my go to garage for sure. Geoff

Friendly, Helpful, courteous, respectfully.
However my car was attended to 2 hours after my 9.30 appointment (admittedly I was 15 minutes late for my appointment but through no direct fault of mine. Overall would give a 4.6 star rating if I could.

They tried to charge me £469 for a replacement non genuine brake caliper. Local garages quoted me £220. I spoke with KIA and for a genuine part they wanted £200. They reduced the cost to £300 and by that time I had to bite my lip and accept it as they wanted a further £50 to reverse the work they apparently started. Watch out guys they will sting you if they can get away with it. Never again?..

We have recently been on holiday in Great Yarmouth and whilst we were there we had a problem with my husband's Audi coolant. I called Halford's first of all asking if we could buy some coolant from them. Unfortunately they are an auto centre and not the shop but he did advise me where I could get some from locally which was very helpful. Following day we were still having some problems and thought that we possibly may have overfilled the coolant so I called halford's again to see if they could help. Ricky said that we could go straight in and he'd have a quick look for us and syphon some out if needed. My husband took the car in and he had a look siphoned some out made sure it was at the correct level for us and gave my husband some advice on what to do. He told him if he was still having trouble the following day he could take it back in and he would try to investigate further. We were very grateful for his help as we were on our holidays and so didn't know any garages locally or what to do. We would definitely recommend Halfords in Great Yarmouth.
