Fantastic experience staying here. Communication before we stayed and helping us before we got to the Blue Boar Inn on route. Room was comfortable, spacious and we had a great nights sleep. Enjoying a cup of tea in the room with Complimentary biscuits was a nice touch, especially after coming back from an event at Sandringham estate. Breakfast made us full as bed ticks and we couldn?t finish them, compliments to the chef. The owner was wonderful, accommodating, friendly and very helpful. We will come back to stay as we had a fantastic experience. Thank you.

The new owners are so welcoming Lovely food, great karaoke night the lady sings amazingly . I?d definitely recommend and will be going back soon

Went to the boar for a meal the landlady was very friendly and made us feel welcome food arrived in good time but cheeseburger arrived with no cheese then the bun was stale I asked to speak to landlady but she refused to come to the bar and was still charged nearly full price for meal even though I only ate a few mouthfuls

I arrived at 2.05...asked if i could have a hot meal...the landlady happily said she would cook...and made me a lovely steak and ale pie...the lounge had a wood fire so it was a warm meal too...Everyone was friendly and I am happy to recommend visiting this pub

Accomodation, food, ambience and staff all good and Sue, the host, is very accomodating. Also, a quiet venue in terms of passing traffic so no disturbed sleep. Relatively easy to get to and plenty of parking available

Having stayed at the Blue Boar inn whilst visiting Thursford Christmas show, we had a superb time, and can't recommend this place enough. The landlady Sue was lovely, she made us feel like family. The food was excellent and our stay was over far too soon. We will definitely be back. Well done!

What a lovely place to stay prior to our visit to Thursford The room was really nice a very comfortable bed and luxury bedding Our host Sue was so accommodating and the food was excellent at a reasonable price We will definitely return And I would imagine a beautiful place in the summer

We stopped off for a drink and some food. Top chef, food was excellent and service with a smile from friendly staff. Beautiful location, tranquil beer garden opposite a wonderful example of a medieval church. Would highly recommend a visit.

We stayed for one night on Saturday 10 th September, mores the pity because we wish we had stayed for a week, the pub, the rooms, the food was fantastic. And Sue the owner was very, very welcoming, she cooked fantastic breakfasts for us both in the morning.Good price beautiful old pub, 1630. Give it a try and Sue... All the best in the future we have passed the word around, and we will be back xx nick and Viola... Corby northants.

We live some 11 miles from the BB and decided to have a ride out for a lunch and to see how things were settling down under the new ownership. Other than having to sit in the car park for 12 minutes due to heavy rain we were not disappointed. A friendly and warm welcome awaited as we walked through the door and nothing was too much trouble. We relaxed over pots of tea prior to ordering and having decided at leisure we both enjoyed the Lamb shank choice from a decent menu. Afters, whilst lounging over tea and cake allowed for friendly conversation with Sue, owner, Good service from Paige also contributed to a pleasant few hours. Definitely worth a visit! Properly cooked food makes a change from the portion controlled offerings that issue from many establishments these days. 16th Sept 2022

Lovely welcome by the landlady Sue, nice room, clean with toiletries provided, plenty of tea and coffee, with replenishments offered on being shown to your room. Super environment, felt very comfortable and welcomed. The food was superb, service excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Such a lovely friendly hotel.

Enjoyed my two night stay at the Blue Boar nice room dinner breakfast good, welcoming owners Sue and John on the doorstep to Wells-next -sea and other places of interest like Walsingham which is nice place to visit, I shall definitely return

We visited and ate at the newly reopened Blue Boar Inn on four occasions at the end of july and beginning of August. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are friendly and courteous. The menu contains enough variety for multiple visits and all of the meals we ordered were well cooked, of good size and well presented. This is a genuinely dog friendly pub. Highly recommended!
