See images for sample received and actual product.In reply to the owner's comment, I do absolutely accept that I delayed in contacting them but this was because I was actually advised they would contact me. I did explain to them by telephone and email that I had not been able to contact them myself sooner due to extremely difficult personal circumstances involving an ill family member and then their subsequent bereavement. I didn't wish to mention this in the review and so just posted the images of the order, mainly to show how it was received and how it compares to the sample.I contacted the company on the same day the order was received regarding the finish of the wood. I was told they would not be able to repair this before the fitting of my kitchen due to a backlog and they advised me to go ahead and fit the piece and they would be able to return to finish. They actually said they would contact me with a date of when they could return. I emailed them myself in February 2018 as I had not heard anything.Regarding the visit from the finisher in March 2018, I arranged the original delivery to a rental home because it was recommended by the company the wood be kept in a warm environment prior to fitting. I am sorry that I made a mistake and did not inform the company of the address change. This was due to the personal circumstances at the time mentioned above. The finisher could not contact me on the day because the company had an incorrect digit on my telephone number. The owner has said I did not respond emails, which is not the case. One email was sent on the day the finisher came to the rental address and I did not reply to it because I called the company immediately instead. They again said they would contact me with another date to attend. Which at the time I thought was kind as I had made an error. Again though unfortunately, I did not hear anything from them but was going through too much to chase them sooner myself.The instructions that I was sent with their reply of not returning are below:"You can of course lightly sand back the worktop to remove some of the whitewash finish, and then you would need to re-apply the oil to make sure the worktop is protected."

Bought the super stave, nothing but problems, mistakes and amateur finishing, put our project back 2 months, finishing and oiling was rushed, don't believe the "Jamie Oliver" selling point.

About the tenth lot of worktops I've fitted for my clients. I love working with such beautiful materials. Only time I had an issue with a split in a long piece of oak, which to be fair wasn't even that bad, they replaced it in 48 hours. When you work like I do, companies like this are a god send, and sadly all too rare.

Excellent - The way that the guys dealt with an issue i had with one of my worktops was amazing; they very quickly brought me a new piece, refunded my purchase of the oil and i felt like they genuinely cared deeply about my situation. The actual worktop is beautiful! I would't hesitate to recommend Norfolk Oak to anyone. It's a premium brand with a premium level of service that goes with it.

The product and the finish were superb. I was a little nervous about ordering a worktop on line but when it arrived and was trimmed to fit our new kitchen the end result exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased.
