The room was very big with a very big bathroom, comfortable and warm ,it was room two plenty of hanging space and drawers coffee and tea making facilities, towels in bathroom, the first night we had dinner in the bar I had Lamb it was excellent the best I had had in along time my husband had Gammon said it was very good .

Fantastic customer service, I had ordered takeaway carvery only to have left behind half my order, one message later Ali is in her car and driving 15 miles to deliver the rest, I honestly can not recommend highly enough, Thank you, p.s the food is absolutely deliciousFood & drinks: the best carvery around

Wow my family and I had the most amazing Christmas lunch today,the food was fantastic and so much of it.Everyone went above and beyond to make it special.lovely warm friendly atmosphere,all the staff were fantastic Nothing was to much trouble. See you next year??

we stayed in a twin room as it was the only room available last night for the light switch on, From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more attentive, the room was immaculate, possibly one of the best nights sleep iv had (a bed all to myself) the atmosphere in the bar was brilliant and made us feel very christmasy, This morning we had all you can eat breakfast which I thought was fantastic for the money, proper butcher sausages and fried eggs made to order. we will definitely return , Thank you the crown

So disappointed! Didn?t book but was sat at a-table that there wasn?t space for! The man at the bar couldn?t move and neither could I. My friend sat opposite and had to move his chair every time someone walked past! I really appreciated that my daughter (3yr old) didn?t have to pay as she doesn?t eat much at all. But the food was so disappointing. I just didn?t see it coming! Pork and beef.. beef was stone cold and felt the only reason the pork was hot was because of the hot pre-cut veg that was on top of it. Lovely atmosphere and staff but food just didn?t hit, at all.

I was very disappointed I tried the Sunday roast meat was cold like just out of fridge vegetables funny flavoured,gravy strange,roast potatoes tasted greasy Yorkshire puddings were worse than aunt Bessie?s My opinion £12.95 for Sunday roast is cheap for the area service staff set up and atmosphere is let down by the value frozen food

Spent the night after going to the Thursford Xmas Show late November.. The room was pleasant and clean but the bed was rock hard and uncomfortable.. The toilet and shower room was bitterly cold, a towel radiator isn't enough to even slightly warm the space. The only mirror was in the shower room not measuring a foot square and set at a height my beloved couldn't see herself... They had music blaring out till midnight and although they provided ear plugs it didn't stop the floor from vibrating which transferred to the hard bed making it unpleasant. The entrance stairway and hallway to the rooms was bitterly cold... After returning from the show we thought we'd have a couple of drinks,, we had a wine and gin/tonic served in plastic cups.. I'm sorry to say but I find that unacceptable...On a positive note the breakfast was good although one guest asked for scrambled eggs and was curtly told fried eggs only (how hard is it to whisk a couple eggs)... Would we stay again,, the answer is I highly doubt it... This place isn't the jewel in The Crown.

ordered a buffet for my sons 18th, great food and plenty of it, I would most certainly recommend to friends and family.

Wow! Sunday carvery is without the best value for money in North Norfolk (at least!). The meat was plentiful as was the vegetables. Cooked to perfection. The service was wonderful. Everyone was polite and nothing was too much trouble. And the best but was the price. Excellent value for money
