The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent my husband?s steak was just as he likes it and my gammon was not at all salty, and the apple pie and custard was delicious.

More of a cheap 'burger and chips' type of place. There is no atmosphere except when a band is playing. Low quality food.

Food portions were ridiculous considering the price, service was bad as was fumbling around with the pre order and some plates still came out wrong.

Enjoyed fish & chips, lasagne & all day breakfast from the lunchtime Light Bites menu. Slightly disappointed it offered no vegetarian option (otherwise would have given 5 ?), but staff took my comment on board). Generous portions with helpful friendly service.
Ramp available for disabled access & staff offered assistance.
Would definitely recommend to others.

Called in for lunch and found the pub has a very good atmosphere, not loud and not too quiet. Looked over the menu and then were asked if we?d like drinks which we ordered and on returning the nice young man took our order for food. It was a relaxed lunchtime and the cod gougon burger for my wife and 6oz burger for myself. Well presented, well made, and very tasty too?..perfect lunch.
Thanks to both the chef and main barman/server for excellent service. Just proves that some of the younger people in hospitality are really getting into the business and giving it their all, we?ll be back and look forward to one of the live music nights,
