I am coeliac and they were very helpful with my gluten free order. The chips were deliciously and the staff were brilliant. Would recommend for coeliacs and non coeliacs!

We hired The Railway Tavern for my partner's surprise 50th birthday party and couldn't have been happier. from booking to setting up and tidying away everyone was so helpful and polite.
I would highly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to hold a party!

I can't comment on the atmosphere because we always have take away. The Gluten free batter is beautiful and crisp and always freshly cooked as are the chips because they have to be ordered. At busy times, the time you choose might not be available and there might be a delay in addition to the frying time. If you are g/f you know that food spontaneity isn't usually an option anyway. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating wherever possible. The only problem with the place is that the fish and chips are too good and too much of a temptation!

we nipped in here for some fish and chips, and they were aposolutey delicious....so if your ever in Dereham come here....lovely customer service here too.

Terrible fish got sold a large was no more than 10mm think and was typical whitefish not cod! heinze tomato sauce refilled with cheep crap (condition on the bottle says the story )

Large Cod and Chips.
I had to break my fish in two to fit on my plate and only just managed to find room for the Chips ??

Do not recommend the food cold and not the best. Order online and had delivery. Wont do it again.?
Gave 2nd chance here waited 2hours lady said really busy but delivery man said they wasn't busy. What disgraceful service definitely will not come back and will make other people aware not to use here.

No customers in the shop , telephone order! Didn?t ask for a name!! Got there, asked for bread roll, got home and no roll , not sure if I payed for it ?? But service is useless, food great as usual

A small but very friendly locals pub with a built in chip shop that serves great food, bar staff very friendly and helpful.
