Absolutely gem of a restaurant, fantastic quality food at reasonable prices. My only reason for 3 stars for service was because they perhaps could have done with more staff for the volume of business at peak lunchtime, meaning slower service and longer wait times, having a knock on effect with dinner plates not being cleared before desert was brought out, leaving dirty dinner plates and empty finished cups on the table during desert was in my opinion sloppy service

I was stating locally and saw this was a dog friendly cafe. I came for brunch. We were both (my dog and I) greeted warmly and were soon sat down. Thr lovely waitress bought over a saucer of treats for the pooch. I had the hottest latte I have ever had (not in a bad way, it was wonderful!) Plus a sourdough, avo, poached egg and bacon. All very tasty but I would say the bacon could have been a tad warmer.
Overall a lovely, airy, friendly, reasonably priced place to enjoy a relaxing brunch. And very welcoming for the pooch too!

Big breakfast, great coffee and friendly service. Honestly can?t fault this place. Had a full Monty and was surprised at the portion size, clearly using fresh ingredients and good quality ones. Coffee, which was a flat white, was good and nicely presented. Staff were incredibly busy but they were attentive to everyone and made sure everyone was acknowledged and served in time. They could probably do with an extra person, which is no fault of their own or let the service down but they were clearly stretched. Can?t wait to be a regular customer. Well worth a visit.

Love love love Café Verde! The staff is super lovely, the food is great, and the atmosphere chill and friendly. Don't miss it if you're in Mattishall!

I love cafe verde, the staff are wonderful, really friendly. You always receive a warm welcome from them.
I do think they are sometimes rushed off their feet and could do with more staff at peak times, but they never show they are stressed, always calm and polite. Well done!
