Really disappointed with the pub, the service was quite frankly dreadful, we weren't given cutlery or told we needed to get it, we had two children with us and weren't given a children's menu we had to ask a couple of times for one, when our friend who is gluten free what options there are ? We were told they didn't know and then they walked away!
The food when it came out was lukewarm, when we told the staff I got a very blank expression,
All in all dreadful

Decent pub in the centre of Cromer with good choice of beers and a relaxed youthful atmosphere. Dog-friendly indoors and outside. Food is good - there are modestly sized portions but this is outweighed by the quality and value for money.

Booked for a roast dinner on 17th August for 1:30pm. The food took 75 minutes to turn up, food was cold and the roast was missing parts. There was about 5 staff who were attending to some children during their shift. Carrying a child whilst being behind the bar. It was unprofessional and they all looked like they didn?t want to be there! Asked for a partial refund and the manager took two drinks off for a table of four. Poor.

On holiday in Cromer & visited the Kings Head.
Bit unsure of what to expect from recent reviews but had an excellent visit
Landlord explained he had taken over 3 weeks ago & was turning the place around. Wish him well as we had a splendid time & enjoyed our meal

Not keen on this pub. Grubby toilets.

We went for a meal this evening at 7.30pm, knowing food is served until 8pm and were very disappointed to hear the kitchen was closed for technical reasons, which the staff explained as things overheating. Exactly the same thing happened a couple of weeks ago.
Given we are in the absolute peak holiday season the management should have upgraded the equipment to cope rather than lose out on trade.
We were also disappointed to find only one of the three hand pumps working.

In here, I have had one of the funniest moments visiting Cromer.
There was a kind of party for an organisation or so, with live band music. Everybody was friendly.
The pub preserves that traditional atmosphere and is a perfect spot to stop, have a drink and food, and continue with the touristic attractions of this centenary coast side town.

Bit disappointed by our visit overall. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the drinks were good, but the food was pretty generic and the online menu was different to the one in the pub. The steak pie was overcooked and my wife's chicken was over fried. It was all a little bit underwhelming and I suspect most of it came pre-prepared from Brakes. My son's burger was good though and worth a mention.
There's better out in Cromer

Dropped in for a drink (decent beer). Good service. Had a chat with freindly locals. Reasonable outside seating area.

Lovely pub, good beer selection, good food, fantastic staff, and a cracking outside beer garden.
